  1. He's lovely! What breed is Cookie? Looks like a right character! Cookie is a Maltese Terrier. These dogs never grow up. They behave like puppies their entire life. They absolutely adore humans and pine for human company. You can't leave these dogs alone. Their also amazing with children. Cookie seems to know he can play rougher with my 8 year old niece and has to be more gental when playing with my 2 year old nephew :)
  2. Just saw this on google images. Who wants to be a copper now?
  3. Meet Cookie :) He's not ours but we look after him for a few months a year as his owner lives in both the UK and Dubai. I hate it when he has to go home lol.
  4. I've always found the light not good enough in the boot. I might get a couple and do the same :)
  5. ^those are great ideas guys. I think they'd look great on the inside of door frames or in foot wells :)
  6. Honestly fella and I mean no offence but they look awful sorry :( Get em off Lol... I'm def in the hate camp Screams boy racer and just look tacky to me Sorry I don't like writing negative posts but I thought you'd want some 100% honest feedback :)
  7. What injector cleaner do you use? And yeah I've heard of zx1 but never used it. And how do you go about de carbonising? If it means I can get 600 miles from a tank then I'm gonna have to give this a go....
  8. 70-80mph all the way to Swansea from Chippenham gave me 19.8mpg according to your sums. That is a huge difference!
  9. Much more likely that the IS gives shocking MPG compared to many other cars of it's form and engine size, and other makes are cheaper to maintain/service. Yeah never thought of that to be honest.
  10. Ok fair enough if you say so.... I know for a fact that I can't get anywhere near that in my IS200 Sport. Like I said driving it like a grandad on the motorway the best I've ever achieved was just shy of 400 miles a tank :(
  11. She's got a gen6 Celica atm and I can't say I like driving that! She loves it though. I wouldn't say I 'like' driving the IS that much neither.... Maybe I'm just getting old.. The IS is a very pretty looking car but there's not an awful lot of comfort.. Only other thing is the gen7 is not available in purple which is putting her off She said that she wouldn't mind having an IS when we picked it up last month, I said you can't have two IS's on the drive as that'll look weird and said you can have mine and I'll buy a GS. Not gone down well..... I can see why you think the IS isn't very comfy, coming from a 7series and a 5 series! My dad drives a Alfa 159 and compared to his my car is not luxurious at all! Compared to my old Honda Accord tho the IS is pure luxury!
  12. Thanks Steve they look great, got me thinking now! Gonna look into how much this costs :) Bet it's expensive :(
  13. Hi Johnny. Welcome to LOC :) I take it from your name you drive an LS. Which one? Any pics? :)
  14. I also found if the mp3 is an iPod or iPhone you need the volume set to 3/4 full otherwise you'll just have a load of fuzz in the background :)
  15. You sure can get a lot of car for your money with these! I think their so cheap because not many people really know about the IS.
  16. Absolute pig round town Ray! I'll never forget my first tank in the IS. All town driving, thrashing it a bit as you do when you get a new car, 240 miles!! I thought something was wrong with it!
  17. Hi guys. Going back about 10 years my sisters ex used to fit remote start, remote windows and remote lights to IS200's. At the time I remember him saying his company which I can't recall the name of but was/is in Fleet, Hampshire was only 1 of 2 companies nation wide that would do this install. Would anybody know if this is still the case or is it a common modification now? I would love remote start but if it's a specialist job I don't want to pay 1000's of pounds. Oh and I've completely lost touch with my sisters ex, they've been split up for about 6 years! Lol...
  18. Best I've done is about 35mpg. I don't have cruise control but that was also sitting at 60mph in 6th gear. As soon as I took the speed up to 70-80mph the MPG drops to about 28!
  19. Do you mean 660 KM? That's about 400 miles and that's doable on motorway :)
  20. 44mpg and 660 miles from a tank, from a petrol, inline 6 IS200 Sport?? Sorry but I find that hard to believe and you have about 8 litres left in the tank when the light comes on, I've tested this many times. That's diesel MPG your quoting and better than a lot of members are getting from their 220d!
  21. Oh right as you can tell I know nothing about the GS! I just really don't like the front end. Don't like the headlights other than that it is great looking. I really like the new ones, and the 3rd generation are a bit conservative looking but I like them :)
  22. IS or GS Chris? IS Ray :) Not too keen on early GS. Not sure I could afford to run one anyway.
  23. I was thinking about getting an early IS250 auto or an IS300. But I've decided I'm gonna keep my IS200. Best car I've ever owned, I really enjoy driving it and I've just about got it back to its former self. Full service, full geometry, wheel balance, all new fluid changes, cambelt, aux belts, new discs, pads and front callipers in the past 6 months. Last owner was a bit negligent :( Also had a broken aerial (fixed now, new OEM) cracked back light clusters (gonna be fixed very soon) cracked windscreen ( fixed) smashed mesh in front bumper (booked in body shop pay day January) and I'm just about to fit new dash bulbs to go from orange to blue :) If a perfect 300 comes along however I don't know if I'd be able to resist
  24. You're wrong there Chris! I know they were cheap but I think I 'might' just have the best bargain of Ian so far.... I'll do a bit of a write-up when I get time to fit it so you'll find out then.. I the mean time you can keep guessing :P Haha ok look forward to it :) Top bloke Ian for selling of the parts to members and not being greedy about it :)
  25. Lol no I think I got bargain of the year from Ian! 2 rear light clusters for the price of what 1 sells for on fleabay! Ian you are a legend fella :) :) Oh and free postage and a free IS200 badge..... :)
