  1. The following thread may be of interest...
  2. I totally agree. You may not have bought the car from a Lexus dealer, but you are still covered by some level of warranty. Ultimately, the car is not working as it should, so you should expect the seller to fix it. I would not waste any time though...
  3. On the NX, the DRLs switch on when the car is taken out of Park. However, once on, they remain on until the car is switched off. When indicating, the relevant DRL switches off altogether until the indicators are cancelled. Personally, I think this is a good idea because it makes the indicators more visible. The facelifted NX has sequential indicators back and front. Bit of a gimmick at the back, given that the indicator lights are rather short!
  4. Impressive... but I think I would have gone insane! 🤪
  5. Fair enough. I thought that each advert would have a unique reference. Thanks.
  6. I'm a bit confused: when I follow the link, I get to see a CT200h with 153k miles for £6.2k. Huh?
  7. Note that when you first switch the car to READY, cruise control will automatically default to DRCC.
  8. I travel to the continent at least a couple of times each year, and I have never experienced any issue with the RX400h satnav while there (and later the RX450h and NX300h version). I never found not being able to enter a full UK postcode a big hardship... which, incidentally, is irrelevant in this case. I agree that Lexus' satnav are not the most intuitive, but if you take the time to play around with it, it is very reliable.
  9. WOrth talking to your dealer: they got me the best price for Cross Climates (for an NX), which they sourced from 3 different places because of the scarce availability, AND fitted them for free.
  10. To my knowledge you should not have any issue: the only thing that matters is that the vehicle is compliant with the laws and regulations of the country it is registered in. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  11. Seen in Bangkok yesterday. RX270, 2.7L, 4 cyl. engine with 185bhp. Not sure about equipment levels. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  12. Not sure why low mileage would do them any harm!? Never heard that before. I too recommend the Cross Climates. Best tyres I have ever had. For me, cheapest price was from my local Lexus dealer... Also if you order tyres from Lexus, they will fit them for free. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  13. Photoshop off Google. Actually, I much prefer the version you've found. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  14. Repeated use of a high pressure washer will eventually pry them off.
  15. Oddly enough, I noticed the day before yesterday that 3 out of 4 (!) metal dust caps have disappeared since I washed the car at the weekend. Grrr. Plastic replacements on order from eBay. Sigh.
  16. What has the dealer offered in terms of compensation?
  17. Buy British? - Is there such a thing as a British car anymore? 😉
  18. Essentially, where the speed limit in the UK is 60 mph and used to be 90 kmh in France, it is now 80 kmh. As of 1st July.
  19. Have you looked at the Michelin Cross Climate? It's very good indeed. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  20. The adaptive cruise control of the NX cannot be set below 30mph. However, once set, it will slow the car to a complete standstill. Once the car in front starts moving, the screen will show a message saying something like "Preceding Traffic Moving" (Can't remember the exact message), and all you need to do is to flick up the Cruise Control stalk for the car to start again, without needing to touch any of the pedals. It is a brilliant and very useful feature when travelling in stop/start traffic.
  21. I find that, given the number of stations available, having only 6 presets is a bit measly and a pain. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  22. It is such an easy job, that I am sure they would do it while you wait, if you happen to be driving by. I had it done for my current and previous Lexus cars and love it. In fact, should you happen to accidentally unlock the car and open the windows, you will find that the windows will self close and the car lock itself after 30 or so seconds, providing you have not opened any of the doors, or pressed any of the buttons on the key.
