  1. We use one of these which offers three different buckles. Can't guarantee that it will work for you, but given the low cost it may be worth trying.
  2. You may find this article from the British Tyre Manufacturers' Association interesting.
  3. I do not believe this was available on RX450h pre-facelift. I certainly did not have it on mine (which was a 2010 model year).
  4. I have mentioned this before in other posts: the best deal I got on 4 x cross climates was from my local Lexus dealer, who also fitted them for free... so an avenue worth exploring. On an AWD vehicle, all four tyres should be the same. I can't see the point of buying an expensive car like a RX450h and then skimp on tyres, when they are the only point of contact between you and the road. Go for the Cross Climates: you won't regret it. They are brilliant!
  5. Anyone seen it "in the flesh" yet?
  6. No. You've just been lucky! 😁 Seriously though... each to his own. I can only speak from my own experience.
  7. And once you have powered off and opened the driver's door, you can switch your low beam back on for 40 or so seconds by pulling the lever towards you: I use it to illuminate my drive and front door when I get home at night.
  8. I recall reading somewhere that if you are to use premium petrol, you have to use it all the time to note any kind of significant difference, and that using is every so many tank fulls is pointless... a bit like wanting to lose weight, but only dieting on Tuesdays! Don't know whether or not there is any truth in this: over my years of car ownership, covering 20k-30k per year, I have only ever used standard supermarket petrol in all my cars and neither them nor I seem to have fared badly for doing so.
  9. I would not recommend plain water either. As mentioned, screenwash will not freeze and it also better at cutting through the grime and assorted dead insects that end up on your windscreen. Moreover, if you live in a hard water area, limescale will eventually clog up pipes and washers. Not good.
  10. They look the same (apart from the dual exhaust on the 200t), but rather different to drive. You really should test drive both to make an informed decision. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  11. Same great colour combination as mine, except that I have the pan roof. I love the dark rose interior because it is not as garish as the red often offered by the competition. Re tyres, I can't recommend the Michelin cross climate enough. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  12. Why isn't the middle coat in the middle? Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  13. I am having an issue with my pan roof, or rather with the electric blind. Where the blind comes into contact with the roof over the sun visor upon closing, the trim is coming unstuck. Has anyone got the same issue and know of a permanent fix? The obvious is to glue the trim back but I'm concern that it will only be a temporary fix... Has anyone had the same issue and fixed it? Thanks Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  14. Wasn't the CT facelifted in 2012? - Could it be that yours is the pre-facelift model which does not have the dual screen functionality? (The facelifted model introduced the spindle grill.)
  15. As a matter of interest, why did you find the automatic high beam "very difficult to set"? Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  16. In short, this feature does not exist on any of Lexus' models. I used to have a Renault that had this features, and it worked a treat. The indicators flashed and there was a discreet beep to confirm that the car had locked/unlocked. There was (is?) a flaw with the system though: my brother also had a Renault at the time... a brand new top of the range Espace. Within two days the battery was flat and he could not understand why. Logs showed that the car had locked/unlocked itself continuously all night long without his knowledge, simply because the car was on the drive, with the cardkey a short distance away in the hallway.
  17. Thanks. I tried a long press, and indeed this disables the system and also the pre-crash monitoring system. The long press only works when the car is stationary. Another quick press switches everything back on. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  18. That's what I would expect to happen... Just wondering if it might be different on the NX. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  19. How do you know whether the TCS is switched on or off? I hit the button by accident and saw a message flash on the screen to say that Traction Control had been switched off, but there is no light on the dashboard to say so. Also, when you press the button again, there is no message to say the TCS has been switched back on. Any idea? Thanks.
  20. I would assume the lights would remain at the level they were at when the system failed. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  21. At the risk of upsetting fans of Mesa red - and there are plenty! - I think it is a fantastic colour when it is clean and when it is sunny: it has a lot of depth with gold specks... but I think that it does look dull unless it is kept clean. Sonic white has a beautiful and pearlescent finish and looks great. It makes a great combination with the dark rose interior. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  22. For me, 1) Volvo, 2) Tesla Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  23. Never managed better than 29mpg in our previous 450h... But I have a heavy foot I would rather enjoy the car then strive for economy. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  24. I am pretty sure that the AFS being off does not affect the self leveling function... Only the swivelling function. It is recommended that you switch the AFS off when traveling to the continent, and I don't think this recommendation would be made if it affected the self levelling also. 25. If you decide to go to an independent, or to do some of the work yourself, I'd suggest that you check whether this is likely to invalidate the warranty. You can then decide whether or not to get a refund on it - assuming this is possible - and use the money elsewhere. With regards to the radiator, it will not be covered by the warranty if it is leaking as the result of a stone impact. In the same way as you would not expect a warranty to cover your mobile phone after you've dropped it and cracked the screen!
