  1. You certainly know how to entertain a lady! 😂😁😂
  2. You can't rev a hybrid!
  3. Having read a number of reviews on steering wheel locks, very few are worth spending money on, and the ones that are seem to all do some damage to the steering wheel. This includes the StopLock Pro Elite. Is that your experience also?
  4. Our 2009 RX450h had a very rattly rear seat. The front windows also used to creak and squeak when closed, where they met the rubber at the top. No matter what we tried, we never managed to get rid of these noises which were made more obvious by the fact that the car was otherwise very quiet.
  5. I too think it's worth it... but I'm not paying for it! The adaptive lights are a huge improvement on the standard ones (in looks too!), the ML system is excellent, the bigger screen is worth having too. Not sure how it would affect the residuals at the end of the 42 months...
  6. Not sure I'm happy with that😡. Don't want everybody driving a Lexus.😜
  7. I see in the online brochure that the F Sport and Takumi models come with run-flat tyres as standard... Any comments on how this affects the ride and comfort? My wife's mini has run-flats and the ride is pretty harsh, although I accept that this could be due to the suspension than to the tyres themselves. They are also a lot more expensive to replace than "standard" tyres.
  8. I'd love a Seiko Arctura Kinetic watch... but not yet sure which model to go for. Quite like the SNL045P1 and the 5M42, but there are so many variants.
  9. I love watches, but I am in a very different, lower league than you guys. Mine are Philip Starck O-Ring (orange/steel), Skagen, Ingersoll, Xeric Halograph, and others...
  10. Piers is right: Our 58 plate RX400h had beige/cream leather. Paperwork referred to it as Oakham. It's got to be the one because at the time, leather was limited to three colours: beige/cream (Oakham), pale grey and black.
  11. Michelin Cross Climates here too. Excellent tyres.
  12. Saw another one: silver, traveling traveling north on the A34 near the M3 junction.
  13. You're most probably right! Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  14. The infotainment in all Lexus models is woeful. One has to assume that Lexus are fully aware of this through monitoring forums, and via feedback from customers, dealers and press reviews. I just can't understand why they continue to release new models with a barely improved system. Why oh why don't they do something about it!?
  15. I saw a white F Sport yesterday when I was picking up a LC500 for the day. They also had a silver one in the showroom and I saw a green one on the road a couple of weeks ago (neither was a F Sport) I like the Sonic T. It is very smart, exclusive to Lexus and will stay clean for longer. On the other hand, the white looks more sporty, and arguably better with the darker wheels of the F Sport. Somehow makes the car look bigger and more imposing. Have you checked Lexus online configurator? - It gives you a reasonable idea of what the car looks like in either colour. Also to consider, if it matters, the white option is £670, sonic T is £920... according to the website. Note that F Sport white is not a flat white. It is metallic (not pearlescent like the Sonic White available on the Takumi grade), although you only really notice this in the sunlight.
  16. You can toggle this functionality off in one of the menus. It the pre-facelift model, it is under General Settings, and is called "Auto Screen Change". I would imagine there is a similar menu in the latest version.

  18. How dare you put Lexus LS and Chrysler 300CRD in the same sentence!? 😊 Lexus any time. Peerless reliability and comfort, understated looks (in comparison with US brashness), and a petrol/hybrid instead of a noisy diesel. Your petrol bill *may* be higher with the Lexus... but it will not be spending time in the garage between services! From traveling regularly to the US, I can assure you that discerning Americans spend their money on Lexus cars rather than Chryslers...
  19. Welcome to the club and congrats on your purchase. Car looks great.. You will see that club members are divided with regards to how the CT drives: some love the combination of go kart handling, firm suspension and comfortable seats, others hate it and find it far too harsh. However, I'd say all like the quality, reliability, economy and ease of drive... and it loves city driving most of all. Take a look at the various surveys in the press: the CT has consistently been within the 3 most reliable cars sold in the UK. Any question you have re your car, this is the place to ask it. I have been a member for some years and I have found that this is probably the most friendly and helpful forum I have ever belonged to.
  20. I too disable the key every night when I get home. I now do it out of habit and I prefer it to having to put the key in a pouch/tin.
  21. Congratulations... Love sonic white, I think it suits the car well. Enjoy!

  23. You're right. It makes perfect sense. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
  24. 7 years of Lexus ownership and I did not know that! Thanks for the useful clarification.
