  1. Had a quick browse on the US forum and it seems that the Vented 310mm rotor came as standard on the IS350. In the US all IS250's are 291mm Solids except 2011 > F Sport Models which have the 310mm rotor too.
  2. You can tell by just looking at the car. If your rear disc is 310mm, then the rear disc will appear larger than the front one. If you stand at such an angle where you can see both the front and rear wheels simultaneously it should be easy to spot.
  3. I have Mtec discs with Lexus OEM low dust pads. Braking is very progressive and smooth now but that is probably down to the pads. Overall a big improvement over the very dusty and non progressive pads that the car came with. I don't like the noise that the slotted discs make so I probably won't get them again.
  4. If you jack your car up and turn the wheel by hand do you still get the noise?
  5. I have Mtec Discs. Probably no better or worse than the OEM discs but look nice behind the wheel !
  6. Are all the clips the same size? I thought some of them were bigger than others..

  8. If things get ugly which can happen easily in such heated situations you will be penalized in the court of law for leaving your car to confront the other person. I personally get greater satisfaction out of not reacting to such incidents. I feel superior to the average road user when I just ignore mistakes other people make. :)
  9. Here's some pictures of mine. Medium Anthracite with Blue Calipers. Night shots and the wheels are not clean but it should give you the idea.
  10. You've got it wrong. Think of the whole exhaust as a single unit.
  11. Saw this on Ebay: Link Just thought I'd share. May be of interest to someone. :)
  12. It's weird. I haven't had to de-ice the windscreen even once this year. Wonder what has changed?
  13. Infiniti is a quality brand. The only issue is that engine sizes are large and hence not much interest in EU. The new Q50 has a diesel version which has the same engine from the Merc C220 CDI so we will probably start seeing some on the roads fairly soon. The FX35 is a beauty too. So much better to look at than the RX450. Similarly I prefer the styling of the Q50 over the GS too.
  14. New front tyres will probably eliminate the steering pull and you will find that it gets worse as tyres wear down. However some steering pull is normal if you have a staggered wheel setup on certain road surfaces. You can jack the car up and rotate the front wheels by hand to see if there is any friction too. If both sides rotate freely then you don't have an issue. Don't buy tyres from the dealer again. You can get more variety and a better price else where. The dealer will only sell you what they have in stock.
  15. You will sign a document when you collect the courtesy car and any such limits will be on it. Just read the document and if you find that there is a limit and you are likely to exceed it, mention it to the person you are dealing with. They wan't your business so it is unlikely they would want to disappoint you. :) For instance I was 2-3 years under the minimum age limit they have for courtesy car drivers when I went in the first time. Needless, they gave me the car.
  16. It was parked about 60 meters from where you guys were. I was actually parked across to this one for a good fifteen minutes waiting for the rest of you to arrive. I couldn't get any mobile signal so got out of the car to check the forum and then luckily saw the rest of you. White with white leather. Looked fantastic.
  17. ISF's stole the show indeed. I think pictures don't do justice. They looked phenomenal in person. Wendle's GS450h was gorgeous too with the red interior. :) Let's not forget the lone ISF too so that makes 5! Great to meet you all and look forward to the next one.
  18. It looks like it will be a sunny Sunday so you can count me in!
  19. Hey man, I adjusted the handbrake using the adjuster on the drum which can be accessed by removing the rear wheels. Adjusting the handbrake cable might be an easier option if you know where the adjusters are that is. Re oil change, I probably have a good 7-8 months to go but I might do it early. I'll definitely be in touch when I do it.
