Is the fuel pump actually running? What is the fuel pressure?
A fuel pump from Lexus is going to be around £300 but there is a fuel filter which could be clogged. I believe they are around £50 from Lexus but third party filters are available for about £15.
To change the filter and/or pump you need to remove the rear seats, there is service hatch under the seat which gives you access to the pump in the tank. You should replace the gasket when refitting to seal the tank.
Hi thanks for your reply mate, I'm not sure if its running or at what pressure it's running? How could I check that? Also the brake down guy didn't check that? He seemed to think it was definitely the pump lol?

Hi everyone, hope everyone's enjoying this lovely weather?
Well as the title says I'm having fuel pump problems, now my baby broke down on me last night and I had to get a fellow is200 member ( lexusbingo ) to come out and tow me home lol, so this morning I run my diagnostics machine and found no faults?????? Strange anyways I then rung my brake down cover up and had them see if they could start it, he got it to start by spraying some carb spay into the carb and she fired up but as soon as he stopped so did she, so I've got a fuel problem with it getting to the carb so he thinks its the fuel pump, and I also think he right as I've been having problems with it for a while now.
So my question is do you think the same and if so how easy is it to change the fuel pump?
I've looked online and seen a few second hand ones for about £50 but don't yet no how much for a new one so if anyone knows the price for a new one?
Thanks for any help

As the title says, I'm trying to find the fuse for the cigarette lighter as I'm getting no power to that point?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Try you slide pins 1st mate, I thought my calliper was sticking so I replaced the callipers with no affect, I the changed both the discs and pads with no affect again. I then went and changed my slide pins at a cost of £70 from lexus and happy days they work like a dream.

Me and lexus bingo will be at this one, with OJC tho. :)

Here you go mate.
As some of you will notice I've got my standard front bumper on, we'll the baby went into the mechanics shop this weekend for some work on my exhaust and the w##### drove it straght into the ramp, NOT HAPPY but they are obviously going to be getting it fixed but still, so I took my new battered bumper off and put my old one on until the work has been completed.
Very happy with the wheels tho. :)

Nice wheels, both white and black. Did you use a special type of paint for the wheels and calipers? I've got the standard 5 spoke alloys which have kerb marks and are corroded. How did you deal with that, to make them look so professional?
Thanks
Cheers mate, for the calipers I used caliper paint which I got from Halfords and the wheels wer done in hard alloy paint. We basically cleaned the wheels then sanded them and used filler for the kerb marks and skuffs then primed the wheels and then painted and glossed. It's all in the prep mate.

Yeh the calipers are realy easy, it was one of the 1st things I done on my baby. Just jack one side of ya car up then take both wheels off, scrub and clean the calipers up then Mask up and start painting. Easy as that.

Nicely done!
Cheers mate :)

Looks very nice with white wheels, Looks to be an excellent job, well done.
Thanks mate, it was we'll worth it. Nearly ready for japfest :)

Well she's fixed. The problem was a loose nut at the bottom of the rad, tightened back up and all fine.
This is where the leak was

I think it was a temp sensor? I'm sure Rick will remember lol.
-
I just want to say a BIG BIG thanks to Rick for coming down to mine this evening to read my codes on my car and have a look and help me solve the problem. Your a legend! thanks so much. Hopefully after I get under it at the weekend I will be able to find out where the leak is coming from and hopefully sort it.
-
Would also like to no about this as I'm sure mine will fall of at some point soon lol.
-
get the code read, its there for a reason, and will provide the information you need. do not just reset it.
Cheers mate, yeh hopefully someone can help there.
-
Cheers mate will hav a look in a min, well when I started her today to see if it was still happening, I let It run for about ten mins and the temp gauge went to half way and did not move any higher this time, so I didn't get to see the fans going and I don't no if they kicked in last time as I was driving lol.
-
A little good news, today has been dry and I finished early so I came home and started the car up and noticed a leak of coolent under my car right under my rad so going to get the bumper of and have a good look.
-
And thanks to chris, lance and everyone else, I'm going to give ur ideas ago on the weekend with some light and time lol.
-
Also, when you say no joy, what about the coolant? Is it now filled up and the temp guage now registering, or does it loose the coolant quickly?
Yes the coolant is filled up to the top now and the gauge dose register but still no joy, she still overheats. :(

Depending where you are in Hampshire, I have a few different code readers you can try (I'm in Basingstoke).
I live in gosport mate, if you could help Rick that would be great. Thanks so much.
