  1. Here's the relevant thread Ron http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/95674-any-member-interested-in-my-2005-wrapped-430-ls/
  2. Hi Colin, yes that confirms what I thought. The firm that said they wouldn't fit to a lpg car, did actually quote me for fitting to my 99 T reg, and it was a brand that was unfamiliar to me, before changing their mind over the lpg. Whether that was type approved, who knows. Crazy that you could have two identical cars, built and registered a month apart, with identical bars fitted, one is legal, the other not,
  3. Not yet, no. To be honest, I saw plenty of wings on ebay, but that was before I actually needed one, so I expected to drop on one in the right colour within a reasonable time. Fifteen months on, not a sniff, but I've had other priorities, such as moving house to occupy me. You're right though, I need to apply myself to getting it sorted.
  4. Simple logic would suggest it's carrying a charge to the battery. Only thing I can think of would be some kind of solar charger, is that possible?
  5. Well done, hope you enjoy it. You've certainly avoided my biggest concern with the 430, the air suspension.
  6. We all pay, nothing is free, just included in the overall price.
  7. Thanks for your interest Stuart, much appreciated. Unfortunately, the bar for later cars is very different, not entirely sure why to be honest, but presumably there is a good reason. Also, you may well be right about lpg, as I was knocked back by a local mobile fitting company, because of it. Asked him why and he "wasn't sure", that was the end of that conversation! I will be pulling a heavy caravan if I get one fitted, though probably only a one off trip from Sussex to Devon, where I'll be storing it. Not sure how keen they are going to be at mot time either, as post 98 cars fall under stricter rules I think, but I'll worry about that if/when I get there.
  8. Just looked to see if it had gone yet, and the pics have disapeared, to be replaced by photobucket symbols. Clicking on a symbol took me to his photobucket account, where there are 207 photos of the LS if you're interested!! A quick member search confirmed that the seller is a member, albeit a bit lapsed, not been logged in since 2012.
  9. Thanks Mark, I've just been trying different searches, have to admit I didn't see any choices other than LS last night, as the rest were off my page. Having looked in to it a bit more, it seems a bit of a dogs dinner now. It's crazy that LS doesn't group all models together on your results page, and a royal pain in the backside having to use all options to make sure you don't miss any cars.
  10. That worked, thanks. Odd though, a few cars different to my earlier search.
  11. Just had another look. For anybody, like me, that looked earlier today, he has since added more photos, plus a twenty minute video of the car, and it really does look superb, and probably worth it's asking price to the right buyer. As Malc said earlier though, it's too good for someone who parks in B&Q or Tesco to do their shopping, Imagine coming back to find a shopping trolley nestling against your freshly scratched door, makes me shudder at the thought.
  12. One last try, I need a towbar and a drivers side front wing, for a 99 T MK4 LS400. If the wing was in blue, that would be great, but any colour considered. Thanks, Mike.
  13. Now you see why I mentioned deja vu Mike, you actually started three threads, not just two. Thought I'd tell you, so you don't think you're losing it completely!!
  14. So is the seller a member on here, the advert would seem to suggest so, but you'd think we'd be familiar with the car if he/she is. Opinions will vary on the price, but if it is as described, I doubt there's a better one for sale anywhere, and I'd certainly prefer a UK car, with exceptional and easily verifiable history, to those high priced imports on ebay.
  15. I remember posting a good while back about ebay, but sadly I can't remember the details. I do recall that there were different ls400 results, depending how you searched though.
  16. Really disappointed with the program. I like Wilson normally, and Kidd, but there was no chemistry whatsoever between them, and their conversations were laboured and obviously scripted. Still, at least it's got cars, so as with the increasingly poor Top Gear, I'll probably still watch.
  17. I blame the cold weather, my dodgy fag ruined arteries prefer to be indoors at this time of year, so that's a choice of interweb or telly, and telly is 99% crap. QED. Oops, forgot to answer the OP. When you said oil and filter, did that include air filter? If not, then that's a common cause, along with plugs/leads faults. And a damn good thrashing is always fun, even if it doesn't cure it!
  18. Exellent news, glad you're happy with it. In my eyes, your car has also become a much better proposition if you were wanting to sell, so overall, money well spent. If you could put up links to who you used, that would be very helpful I think, for anybody wanting to do the same job.
  19. You and me both. I checked the autoshine website, and that mobile number isn't on there, so maybe the scam requires you to ring the number? Oh, the Lexus isn't on there either.
  20. Dear god, I've had a few boring courtesy cars in my time, an Astra and a Corolla spring to mind, but I'm afraid that would be a step too far......I'd have asked for my keys back and gone somewhere else.
  21. No, there are charges on top of that. I also expected a lower price, but I guess the low miles had an effect, and you never know with auctions, only takes two people who want it.
