  1. I noticed the other day somebody said they no longer get emails when somebody else posts on a thread they have contributed to. Same goes for me, not had an email for ages.
  2. Yes, but if you read the description you can use your existing blade, but it does also come with a blank blade as well if you need it. I've read it again, and can't see that Tony. Which bit makes you think you can use your existing blade?
  3. Looking at the link, it would seem to include the blade? I think mine is the same, and the blade is attached to the casing, therefore requiring cutting, having transferred the guts across.
  4. Straight comparison would be unfair, given the Honda was considerably cheaper, but still a very nice car imo. Would I swap my LS for one?, of course not.
  5. If ever a vehicle was made for an LPG conversion, the V8 RR is it!!
  6. According to Sky epg, S1 ep2 is on next Wednesday at 8pm. That is what last nights episode was listed as, however, the details of the items on the show don't match up, so who knows? Just to confuse further, next Thursdays show is supposedly S1 ep1. Just looked on Wiki at an episode guide, and last nights show is ser25 ep3, according to them. Actual items on last night were Citroen Cactus test, Jag v Merc, Tiffs first racing car v a modern Lotus.
  7. In my experience Hondas are far from second rate, and I've owned a good few, mostly Accord variants and one superb pocket rocket Civic typeR. Always fancied a Legend, but quite a rare car to find, especially the latest model which sold in very small numbers..............typical for big jap motors in the UK I'm afraid.
  8. As per thread title, just started on ITV4 and reg plates are 14, so newish series? On +1 at 10pm if you're too late.
  9. Thanks for the reply Ray, some interesting points. Not too concerned about rear seat capability either, I've always thought anybody over the age of about ten looks a bit odd in the back of a car with the roof down anyway. They even seem to have a faintly embarrassed look on their faces as well, in my experience.
  10. I saw my first volunteer speed camera operator a month or so back, I wonder how long before one of them gets a good hammering, or worse. Seems so obviously a bad idea to me.
  11. I'll take a look, as I need a couple of new tyres for my caravan, plenty of tread but showing first signs of cracking, so thanks for the tip.
  12. HATOs, do the same as a lot of people, search out anything they can use to justify their existence and their salary. Hence the over dramatic response to what used to be considered trivial events, closed off lanes to protect vehicles on the hard shoulder for example. As you say, a waste of money.
  13. I found National Tyres was also cheaper online, in fact they admit as much on the website, saying that the prices are online only. Don't think the difference was as marked as your example though, that is some saving.
  14. No problem with that provided it is not you, or somebody you are associated with , that would benefit from the sale unless you are a gold member. I'd just request there is some form of brief explanation to go along with the link to make the moderators jobs easier. Ok Colin, thanks for the reply.
  15. I'd be interested to know what you disliked about the "C", as it's a car I quite fancy. My one concern is that it looks a little lacking in performance, on paper at least.
  16. Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I actually replied to that thread, and it seemed no different to many similar ones before it. Have the rules changed, or their enforcement? I'd like to know, as I've often posted links myself, that I thought might benefit other members.
  17. I also agree with Ruud, I've seen plenty of one owner shopping cars with low miles with worn out transmissions and covered in parking scars, and modern diesels are an even bigger no no for me with low miles and blocked filters etc. There are good and bad examples of high and low mile cars about, but a well maintained 100,000 miler at sensible money would be my choice. Also agree with Davids point, that 100k used to mean the end was nigh, but happily those days are gone.
  18. Just make a note of reg and lot no, then ring after the sale and ask if sold and how much, always works for me, though I've not had any dealings with SMA.
  19. And..... it still works after 16 years of being prodded and poked, unlike many other touch screen products I've had the misfortune to encounter. Just tried the sensitivity adjustment, and works as promised, then noticed as I switched the wipers off, there is a double movement...an initial abrupt stop, followed by a soft stop as the wipers park out of sight. Wonder what else I've yet to discover?
  20. Well, the 430 wheels fit a 400, so maybe the reverse applies too? I'm sure there will be somebody near you with a 400 who'd let you try their spare. Not that they're very pretty mind!
  21. Here you go, post no 19 on page 2. PM the poster, maybe he can point you in the right direction. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/89754-common-fault/page-2
  22. I definitely remember a thread where somebody got a new bootlid.
  23. Always a few of these for sale, tragic mpg though, from all accounts. Right hand drive too, so can't just be for US. Aus/NZ maybe, or JDM?
  24. £120 seems a good price to me, think they are off a later LS (17"), but are fitted to a MK IV LS400 at a scrappers in Southport. I have no connection to them, apart from dealing with them over the phone for another part off the same car, and finding them very easy to deal with. Here's the ebay link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexuss-400-Set-Of-17in-Wheels-/231726461298?hash=item35f3f93172:g:ZogAAOSw5ZBWJi-X
