  1. Yes, it could also be the car battery. On my 1997 model the alarm went off at about 11,8V due to one faulty battery cell. Problem solved with new battery + if you do not drive much or do only short journeys a battery solar charger helps a lot.
  2. LS 400 V8 (1990-95) = 5w-40 fully synthetic or 10w-40 semi-synthetic LS 400 V8 (1995-97) = 5w-40 fully synthetic or 10w-40 semi-synthetic LS 400 V8 (1997 onwards) 5w-40 fully synthetic For high mileage (125,000 miles) I recommend 10w-40 semi-synthetic!
  3. Check Amayama.....site shows "Available to ship" = 5x.............http://www.amayama.com/search?q=25601-50020
  4. OBD1 - TDLC1 + TDLC2 - check light procedure OBD I - TDLC1 +2 Checklight__procedure.pdf
  5. It's called TDLC1 (in engine bay) and TDLC2 terminal data link connector (round one under dash)......can't connect them to OBD2! 1 XXX 96 97 PreOBD - DLC systems.pdf
  6. ChrisM, for parts check the new electronic parts catalogue: http://www.japan-parts.eu/lexus/eu/1994/ls400/ucf20r-aepgkw/3_431220_005_/body/5102_suspension-crossmember-under-cover
  7. Yes, front and rear wheel bearings have lots of cross references. Anyone tried rear wheel bearing kit (includes 2 oil seals) from Japanparts KK-22017 ...only 20 bucks versus Blueprint ADT38346, which cost about 80 bucks. Japanparts is a company from Italy: http://db.japanparts.it/cjapan/dettArt.jsp?id=KK-22017
  8. Are you sure it is the radiator and not the vent/plug/screw (comes with o-ring or some sort of gasket) on top of it? When adding coolant that plug has to be open due to air in the system.
  9. I would recommend 6W or 8W solar charger connected via trunk light.
  10. That's a nice list.........a list for LS400 1995-2000 model would make it perfect though!
  11. Maybe this will help!? Procedure of how I did it and got a reading of 24,8ma (I went back to the car after about one hour): - Turn ignition off and pull the key - Close all doors - Open hood and close hood lock with a screwdriver - leave the battery connected and arm the anti theft deterrent system either by key or by key fob.....and check security lamp that it is on - to be sure leave the car alone for about 30 - 60 minutes - go back to the car and measure rest current without interrupting the current (otherwise alarm goes off). Before disconnecting the battery put the pair of test leads (black one/-)to the negative battery terminal and the other (red one/+/A or ma) to the negative terminal clamp.......now disconnect carefully terminal and clamp.
  12. It doesn't work like that.....car won't go into sleep mode whilst measuring rest current. And, keep in mind you have to take care of the engine hood courtesy switch to arm the theft deterrent system.
  13. Before you measure any rest current your car has to get into "sleep mode". Keep in mind that in order for the car to sleep at all, it must be off and nothing can be "touched" (no opening of the trunk or doors, no pressing any buttons on the key fob, etc.) If something is touched, the timer starts all over again... How long it takes for it "to go to sleep" I am not quite sure, but 60 minutes should be enough....=;o)....Rest current should be under 0,05 Amps (50ma) For comparison my 1997 LS400 has a rest current of 24,8ma.
  14. Hi, I am looking for a set of H&R 52426 sport springs. TIA
  15. There you go..... BackLight stereo dry resistors ls400 - UCF20.pdf
