  1. Yes, definitely a slow-burner for Lexus but the MY20 RX features a touch-screen as well as AC and AA.
  2. I’m aware of what it says in the manual but I’ve never been able to mirror any iOS device to any Lexus I’ve owned using Miracast. Android, yes, but not iOS. You clearly can based on your post so can you please add a photo of your iOS device mirroring to your Lexus infotainment screen as I’m interested to see what it looks like.
  3. Do you really need to use wipes? Wipe over once and then bin? I use Meguiars Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner. I dab some cream from the pump bottle onto a clean microfibre cloth and wipe over the leather. One cloth will do both cars.
  4. That’s an interesting device. It looks small enough to plug in and allow the cover to close. If it works well I’ll get one to avoid the wired look. I’ll only use CarPlay for music and occasional nav as I’d miss the native nav instructions in the 10” HUD.
  5. Don’t know yet regarding prices but it’ll be retrofitted by your Lexus Centre. Toyota have quoted £120 for retrofitting a Corolla and £150 for the RAV4 so I’d guess a similar price.
  6. I’d say 99.9% likely from Q2 2020.
  7. I looked at repainting and it was more than buying an OEM part, pre-painted, from your Lexus Centre. I think I paid around £50ish for a cover which they fitted free. Granted, it's only a small, plastic trim but I was still surprised it was less to buy than to have it repainted. Habu
  8. 😅
  9. Do the specs suggest the camera body protrudes less than a regular body or is that a guess? As for aero you’d need to do many miles to recoup £1600 besides a modern big door mirror body can aide aero by moving turbulent air generated by the frontal aspect away from the car and passing laminar flow down the sides. I’m still to be convinced that this rear view camera body will be less to replace than a standard lens body because “you can get 3 lens in a camera for £100 and a camera on a stalk won’t be expensive”.
  10. I wouldn’t think any more than your current door mirrors as the surface area of the camera mirror body is very small. Your rear view camera, however is in an area under significant turbulent air.
  11. That would take some getting used to after years of driving looking outside the car for the rear view image. Imagine the cost to replace if it’s damaged! It might just be the photo but it appears to stick out a long way too.
  12. I recently downloaded 1530 and 1435 but couldn't do anything with either file as they were in a format that my Mac couldn't understand so I gave up. My Mac has always happily undertaken the navdb_version updates but seemingly not the Audio and Navigation. I might have another go sometime. Habu
  13. This is all you get with the ‘19 ES. More connected services came out yesterday with a Lexus Link update but nothing for us although JNK100 says different. Does he have a ‘20 ES or is getting connected services on his ‘19?
  14. So you've got 'find my car' (not that I need that) and driving analytics, etc?
  15. Cycle up and down on the ‘I’ page.
  16. You need to be in the left hand page on the TFT screen, once there scroll up or down to see the tire (sic) pressure readouts. It’s not in the general settings. I’d be very surprised if it’s a Takumi only thing.
  17. That’s odd. Mine stays on 3D not matter how many times I turn the car on and off. Have you done a soft reset of the infotainment system? Push and hold down the PWR -volume knob until the system reboots.
  18. I spent ages trying to connect to it only for Lexus UK to advise that the 2019 ES is not compatible with the full connected services on Lexus Link. Strange, when other 2019 UK Lexus models are. You need a 2020 ES to get connected services. I can, with my ‘19 ES get only the basic stuff on Lexus Link such as diary dates for my next service.😕
  19. Spent several weeks trying before Lexus UK finally acknowledged that Lexus Link Connected Services is not compatible with the 2019 ES but will be for the 2020 model.
  20. Don’t worry about it🙂. It’s definitely wired as I’ve tried it in the 2020 RX. Wireless would kill the battery so I’m ok with having it plugged in, it’s just a shame that the ES has the ridiculous placement of the USBs so that the cable has to be on show. I’ve no idea why they weren’t placed in the central cubby.
  21. CarPlay and AA is standard on 2020 UX, NX and ES. We know this, what we want is AC and AA retrofitted to 2019 models.
  22. £85 would be ok so I assume a software only fix although some have muted swapping out the microphone module as part of the retrofitting process. Yes, seems to be May at the moment which is a bit of a pain waiting especially as the 2020 models with AC and AA as standard will be available shortly.
  23. I’ve been informed that other 2019 models with the widescreen Nav will not be initially compatible but this is being looked at. There are though software anomalies with the 2019 models, software wise. For example, the 2019 ES is not compatible with Lexus Link Connected Services whilst the 2019 UX and NX are. I’m sure they all have similar MY2017 sat navs. I don’t know why that is. With regards pricing I hope it’s free for AC and AA retrofitting but Toyota UK have quoted £120 for the Corolla and £150 for the Rav to have the software retrofitted. Time will tell.
  24. Same for the UK too. It also appears that the only 2020 Lexus models coming out with AC and AA as standard is also the UX, NX and ES.
  25. If comfort is your priority then it’s the Takumi spec (at least here in the U.K.). Takumi has 4-way electric lumbar on both front seats. F Sport only has 2-way. Takumi has very long extendable thigh extender on the drivers seat which is part of the seat memory. No such thigh extender on the F Sport. These were priorities for me, together with auto ventilated front seats which is why I went for the Takumi. At the time F Sport models didn’t have auto ventilated seats but I don’t know if the 2020 models now have this. The ML audio is stunning and you will not be disappointed as is the HUD - all 10.3” wide. Personally, I love the Sonic Titanium colour. I’ve had 2 Lexus in this colour and it, depending on the light, changes from silver to bronze-gold. Plus, it always looks clean.😀.
