  1. No, it'll be £75 excess. Until, 6 months ago I've not had a broken screen for nearly 25 years. Now, this is my 3rd in just few months. Two with the GT86 and now this. :(
  2. Crack now a foot long and growing! Seemingly, the glass fitter can get a replacement for Monday.
  3. After just 80 miles stone chip on windscreen and resultant crack will probably mean a new screen. Gutted, as it's my pride and joy. Surprised how the glass has delaminated and cracked so quickly.
  4. Going back to the Centre this Friday for a reflash of the firmware. I'll see what happens.
  5. Except maybe the bluetooth and voice :( I have to reconnect the phone each and every time I get in the car (really annoying) and I've yet to make a successful connection with anything using voice. The phone bit is tainting the joy.
  6. Yes, phone favourites dropped today but that's all I've noticed as I've not really had much chance to drive this weekend. It's no biggy as I will probably only use 4 favourites but, yes, it shouldn't happen and, yes, I'm on firmware version D.
  7. I've now gone to the eStore on the portal but seemingly there are no available software updates under Downloads? My IS is running Firmware B and so I want to update to D but unsure why no updates available. Edit: found a solution and firmware now at D in the car. Talk about making it hard work.
  8. To be honest, the IS wasn't on my radar and I was intending to older an F Sport white CT with dark rose leather and premium nav but whilst sat at the centre getting the GT86 valued I sat in a new IS and that was it. CT out, IS in. Centre just happened to have a spec I wanted. I just wish I could have pushed the boat out a little further and order an F Sport. Maybe next time. :(
  9. Phew, found it but completely by accident. Now, I need to update my software from B to D. Any tips for this process?
  10. I'm trying to connect to the Lexus portal and it needs the Device ID for the nav system as part of the car registration. Try as I may I cannot get the system to recognise the digits I am inputting (assuming I'm inputting the right digits). The Map ID appears to be xx-xx-xx (2013-06-3). I've inputted just the first 6 digits without space and also with the bracketed numbers both with, and without, brackets. Anyone got any suggestions? Cheers Peter
  11. Went to look and drive the new CT last Saturday and ended up buying an in stock IS instead. A week later (today) picked up a Lux with heated leather and premium nav. image by Brutus_Cleo63, on Flickr
  12. Sleepypete, are you following me or I am following you? :) I came here via 2x Gen 7 Celicas, 3x Prius, 1x CT200h, 1x modded crazy GT86 and now an IS300h. Picking it up tomorrow at 09:30 :) GT86 in the flickr signature below. Awesome car to drive quickly especially with HKS exhaust system and a few other bits ;)
  13. I guess I was lucky as I went to test drive the new CT last Saturday (much better by the way in terms of NVH) but ended up buying an IS Luxury with the heated leather and premium nav that the Centre had in stock. Should collect this Saturday. Sonic Titanium and grey leather. I normally dislike grey leather but the Lexus grey in the IS is quite creamy.😊
  14. I have always used Fuelly.com to keep track of my mileage and fuel consumption and I will be doing the same when I get my IS in the next couple of days. Fuelly is a very good site and worth checking out if you've not used it before.
  15. Thanks Colin. I don't know why I couldn't see 'dusk sensing'. :)
  16. Thanks for the reply, DJP. Hopefully, someone will a Luxury will be able to fill in the 0.1%. It's always the case, isn't it, when you go to look at a car. You come away having not checked something you wanted to check! I guess that's the allure of the new IS.
  17. Hello all. I'm in the process, subject to finance, of buying a new IS300h Lux with leather and premium nav. I've been to the Centre twice now and each time have forgotten to see whether the car features auto lights. There's no mention (that I can see, anyway) in either the IS brochure or on the Lexus web site. Can anyone confirm? Cheers Peter
  18. That would make sense. Unfortunately, my car is used each day, rain or shine, and does a big mileage to boot hence over 9000 miles since January.
  19. Try as I may I've not been able to get the CT to go much over 50mpg recently. Even on a 100 mile non stop run down the motorway today at 65-70mph it wouldn't go over an indicated 52mpg. On getting home I just happened to feel the tyres and the NSF is hot whilst the others are cool. Wheel bearing already? The car's done a little over 9300 miles. Time to ring the dealer.
  20. I signed up for 5 services (50,000 miles / 2 years driving) as that's how long I expect to keep the car. Each one costs circa £150 on the plan and I'm paying over 14 months interest free and no deposit.. Very happy with that given 2 of the services are majors. The 0W20 oil alone is around £65-70.
  21. Hi all. Is there really no way to change the clock to 24h? I really don't like 12h clocks :( If it can't be changed I'll add it to my list of irritations, namely: grab handle on the drivers side (I keep banging my head on it) and the hopeless sun visors. There's too big a gap around the rear view mirror even when the visors are lowered. Other than that I still love my CT. :) I should add I passed 4000 miles today and I only started driving it from the beginning of January :(
  22. Hi Matt. It's a very good fit around the sub and hooks, etc (as you'd expect from a genuine part). Like with any boot liner it restricts access to the underfloor large cubby box and so would needed to be removed. The liner, although rubbery, is quite stiff and needs to be pushed into the corners to get it to fit snugly. There's a small lip around the whole edge and has ridges (grips) and the Lexus name on the top. I'm not sure about your last question though. "how easy is it to get into the lower boot compartment?"
  23. It's in the ceiling just forward of the 2 front interior lights. Push on the tab and the draw lowers down.
  24. Many thanks for that. I had turned the switch until it went as far as it felt like going. Now I know it's a 'click' I've just turned it beyond where I stopped and it's clicked off :) Cheers. Peter
