Official wording from Lexus UK is "sorry you missed out". So, for those of you who have just bought a Luxury how do you feel? For those of you who have just bought an F Sport how do you feel knowing you've spent £2500+ more than you could have?

So, it seems Lexus is running a special this weekend whereby you can get a complimentary upgrade from an IS Luxury to an F Sport during this weekends Drive Weekend when you test drive a new IS. I would have loved the F but could only manage the Luxury when I bought mine in March 2014.

it is good that you don't but quite a few people do care. There is no reason why performance cannot be combined with style and quality. True, but then we'd probably end up paying much more for a bigger lump under the bonnet and at the sacrifice of MPG. Out of interest are all the powerful SUV's in this segment diesel or should Lexus have put the 3.5 V6 motor from the RX in the NX? Personally, I'd be content if the NX gets under 10 seconds to 62 and with excellent driving dynamics to boot. Just my 2p.

I intend to get one even though I've just purchased, in March, an IS300h Lux. I've asked my Centre for a cost to step across to one whilst keeping my monthly payments the same. We shall see. As for whether the NX300h does 0-60 in 8 or 9 or 10 seconds - who cares, I certainly don't. For me, it's style and quality that counts.

Ah, I see. Yes, you're right, 53242 does say you've got the latest map. So, being on 53241, I'm out of date, too.

It appears then that 86271 (53241) is the latest map version.

I don't quite get this. I got my car on the 1st September, how can you have an older version? Is yours the premium Nav? Mine's 53241 too. Got the car in March 2014 but the car was in stock so I don't know when it was delivered to the Centre. Edit: the portal does suggest the map update is 86271 so I've just been out to read my SD card. My full number is 86271-53241. The SD card shown on the portal is 86271-53240.

When you check phone compatibility and you click on (in my case, Premium Nav) there's then a drop down to select which firmware version you're using. 'E' shows up here but it isn't in the download section yet. Website doesn't stipulate what 'E' does or is.

You need USB connection for album artwork, besides USB music sounds sooooo much better than music over BT. All my iPhone music is 256 bit and a BT connection doesn't do it justice.

Could someone please do me a favour, preferably this weekend. I need a photo taking of either end of the put out tray in the glovebox. The tray just pulls out by pulling up slightly on the right (as you look at it) to remove the 2 tabs from the slots and then slide to the right to release. My car has been to the Centre to get the rattle sorted (which was a loose latch) and I want to see if the tray tabs have been wrapped too or does it come from the factory like mine are? Cheers for the reply Bob. I was going to have a go at removing the glovebox shelf this weekend. Does it just pull out or are there catches or screws? I'll have a look too at the cabin filter cover. Re the seatbelt latch thingy on the B pillar both my front seats buzz from time to time. I'm sure someone will answer the best place to put some felt. Cheers Peter

I have a really annoying rattle in the glovebox area but I can't trace it. I've emptied the glovebox and it still rattles even if the door is left open when I drive. Has anyone else experienced something similar? One other thing. I've set my doors to unlock either when I put the tranny into P (which does work) or when I open the drivers door (which doesn't work). When I open the drivers door I thought all the other doors would open too but they remain locked until I put the car into P. I have adjusted the car's customisable page so that all doors should open on the drivers door but they don't. Am I missing something? Cheers Peter

I would say the word 'Lexus' and the IS300h badges are stuck on whilst the Lexus emblem would be fixed on with pins through holes formed in the body. Admittedly I haven't done it to mine but it's how most manufacturers fix their badges.

Ah, do I need to turn on something on the phone like personal hotspot because I was just trying to connect with just a phone bluetooth connection

I've never got it to work using my phones Bluetooth but it works perfectly with wifi when the car's sat on the driveway picking up the home router. Seemingly my iPhone 5S doesn't offer connected services with the Lexus?

You're right, it doesn't unduly whine and is a nice place to be. Unfortunately, the pro German automobile journalists (that's everyone including Evo, AutoCar, Auto Express et al have the car for an hour or so and rag the backside off the car and then complain it whines and isn't as dynamic as a BMW 3 series. They fail, all the time, to consider the extras Lexus has, the customer service, lower running costs and general smoothness and quietness of living with it. I sometimes wonder what chuffing planet they're on!

I haven't heard mine yet but I live in the largest county, geographically, in the UK and we don't have any fixed cameras - yet.

New glass fitted this morning. Big thanks to RMB Toyota in Northallerton for accommodating my car as I didn't want it installing on my drive or at work under a gazebo. Quick service for a new Lexus screen too.

Despite the very poor Bluetooth integration and seemingly impossible to use Voice integration the DVD player works a treat. Was playing the Top Gun DVD this afternoon and it looked and sounded awesome. The surround sound was terrific with great bass from the jets. Time to dig my Fast & Furious DVD's out. :)

Yes, I thought, when I collected the car, that it was odd that the clock was nearly 10 minutes out. I've set it today so I'll monitor it over the next few days.

Whilst my digital nav clock is accurate the analogue clock loses a couple of minutes every 48 hours or so. Anybody else have a similar clock? Given how gorgeous the clock is (especially at night) I'm willing to forgive it - for now. Cheers Peter
