  1. I stream all my music from Apple Music and I’m happy with it in my NX and on my B&W Zeppelin. Would Tidal Master be noticeably better in the ES over Apple? It’s a serious question and I’m not trying to be funny or clever. I pay around £15 per month for my 6 family and friends membership but would consider Tidal if I thought it was going to sound amazing. I think there’s a trial free period. James, have you tried Tidal Master yet in the ES? Cheers Habu
  2. That’s been the standard reply since January. It’s a default response that Lexus UK have used many times before but nothing concrete has ever been confirmed - one way or the other. That’s the frustrating thing. Lexus UK must have an idea but won’t say other than the aforementioned standard response you got too. The MY20 RX was muted to have AC and AA with a touchscreen as far back as March 2019 and that’s possibly why some dealers maybe think it’s coming to Lexus models in general? Habu
  3. Courtesy of LexusEnthusiast.com https://lexusenthusiast.com/2019/07/25/lexus-ux-250h-es-300h-lc-500-lc-500h-recalled-for-faulty-brake-booster-pump/ Has anyone had letters yet from their dealers yet? Granted they aren’t too many on the roads yet and the article talks about US models being affected but one person on this forum has had his UK car dealt with.
  4. Martin, I think that’s a fair appraisal of the UX. I’ve not driven it myself but I find, as you say, the door cards and rear cabin are low rent and not what you’d expect for the money. My wife’s Mazda CX-3 feels far more plush with 5 different textures, colours and materials on the door cards alone. I do like the look of the UX thought and by all accounts it drives very well but it’s not for me (or the wife) even though the boot would be big enough for our needs. I’m hoping🤞to drop my NX off at the dealer at the end of August to avoid taxing it for a week so I may ask for a UX although I’d really want an RX.
  5. I’d pay a subscription if the software was well implemented and the iOS 13 update allowed the nav to be displayed in the HUD and central TFT display. I think I’m going to be disappointed.
  6. SH20, take your pick as the following car carriers are due into Royal Portbury around the 1st August: Autosun, Fedora, Hough Singapore, Antares Leader and Victory Leader. Lexus will tell you which ship your car is on.
  7. I don’t know about the ES but my 2018 NX came with front and rear rubber mats as part of the £400 protection pack.
  8. As NemesisUK says, MarineTraffic is the only one that works around the World but there are dark areas where they could be little to no coverage for a few days or hours depending on the ship’s proximity to the coastline. You need to ask Lexus UK (via Twitter is a good start) and they will check the details of which ship it’s on. Lexus UK may need to contact your dealer for order details that you may not have.
  9. CarPlay integration was muted recently on this forum as being possibly not too far off with some dealers potentially testing the software. Has anything else materialised or has anyone heard anything recently? It would be great to think it was close to being rolled out. Peter
  10. After ordering an ES at the beginning of March and being informed collection mid July, my car (and most other people’s ES cars) went back to mid September collection but nothing confirmed. Well, my ES finally sailed on the 17 July with a estimated arrival at Royal Portbury on the 16 August and collection early September. It is on the Horizon Leader. Next stop is the Suez Canal on the 5 August. I know of 4 car carriers that docked in Japanese ports in the last week including the Horizon Leader. All 4 are calling in at Royal Portbury between 16 and 23 of August. The other ships are Grand Pavo, Guardian Leader and Elegant Ace. So, if people are waiting for their late running ES model there’s a good chance it’s now sailed and on its way.
  11. Up north in North Yorkshire we don’t see many LS, especially the new model although there are a few older models about. Today in London I saw a new LS belonging to the Japanese embassy complete with ‘D’ number plate and bracket for flag. After dropping off 3 guys it parked up awaiting their return. I’ve never seen an LS Takumi before but what a machine. It was stunning in the flesh. It made every other black limo in town look quite ordinary. Its details were absolutely exquisite.👍
  12. I’m with you too, Sloth. I’m off as the guy made his points weeks ago but continues with the bombardment of the model. It’s fine to have an opinion - everyone has different reasons to have a certain model - but the constant negative threads on the model isn’t big or clever. The forum is meant to be a friendly open site with some banter but it’s turning personal. Where are the moderators? Irrelevant to me anyway now as I’m off. I’ll enjoy my ES in private.
  13. I understand, from Lexus UK themselves, that they are working on it but unsure of the timescale. Someone, somewhere mentioned September 2019 as being the announcement date but time will tell.
  14. Lexus UK confirmed this afternoon that my ES order has now been allocated a vehicle stock number. Anyone know what that means? I’m guessing it’s a build number ready for being assembled?
  15. Essential, sort of, to me. I like my Apple Music connectivity through CarPlay plus better messages functionality plus use of different nav options like Apple Maps and Waze. My wife’s Mazda was upgraded to have AC and AA and it’s something she loves.
  16. My NX took exactly 3 months from order to delivery. The ES orders appear to be far greater than Lexus expected so there are delays with just this model. Mine was ordered exactly 3 months ago and there no allocation yet for it. Hopefully Lexus UK will advise soon that it has shipped.🤞
  17. 3 months has now passed since my order went in and, as of today, Lexus UK still have no shipping details. Car is due to my local centre around the 20 July so it needs to get a wriggle on. According to Lexus UK they are only aware of the car’s status when it has been allocated to a ship. My current NX, which the ES will replace, is only 8 months old so it’s no hardship waiting a bit longer. Does anyone have any details of their orders?
  18. It needs to come soon. I see the new RX coming this autumn to the UK (and therefore Europe) features CarPlay and Android Auto plus a touchscreen. But we cannot wait for each Lexus model to get a refresh before the connectivity so I’m hoping it’ll be retrofitted to current models. Fingers crossed.
  19. He is starting to sound like a stuck record, isn’t he! Linas, we all get it, you dislike the ES, you hate the 300h, you hate FWD, but give it a rest. You made your point weeks ago. Despite making some valid points (yes, I’d have the 350 engine in a heartbeat) but now you’re just coming across like a troll with nothing better to do.
  20. What about the rest of the 300h's - NX, RC, IS or is it just the ES you have an issue with?
  21. Back on topic....I’ve been trying to track mine to see when it’s going to set off from Japan. As of today, according to Lexus UK, it’s still not allocated. I’m unsure what that means unless it suggests that it still doesn’t have a build slot but surely Lexus know how long it takes an ES to be processed whether I’m next in line to go through the factory or 5000th in line. Habu
  22. “Enter Postcode” works in my 2018 NX. It offers you a few lines of postcode in case it misheard you but yours is usually line 1. You then say “line 1” and off you go.
  23. That’s good to know re road numbers in the 2019 NX’s HUD. I know my, on order, ES shows road names in the HUD so hopefully road number too. Tel, is there any additional stuff in the NX HUD for 2019 apart from road numbers?
  24. Your top spec NX must be different to mine as my HUD doesn’t display ETA, distance to destination or road number, etc.😚 There’s enough space on the 10” infotainment screen so that things like the ETA font size could be increased. Re the zooming back out at junctions the HUD doesn’t always help as the turn is indicative and if it’s a complicated junction the map on the screen is better.
