  1. ring svt services in edinburgh and ask them if they can fix - they fixed my amplifier - maybe they can do something about the cd player aswell
  2. there is a video here sowing how to remove the cd player if you decide to go down that route http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/100942-ls430-satnav-screen-removal/
  3. Lexus LS 400 4L V8 (290BHP) drift car advertised on auction site - poor car
  4. my mark 3 and 4 both had that pantograph set up - you need the wipers which fit onto hook arms without the cover
  5. sorry - my apologies - i have just re-read the title - ignore my post it was for the 400
  6. hi its very easy move gearknob into N and Unscrew and remove gearknob remove gear surround - starting near the cupholders prise it up using to screwdrivers covered with a cloth as not to damage the trim - once that end is lifted move further up and repeat - once its loose lift up - remember to disconnect the cigar lighter connector. Then you need to remove the centre air vents using 2 ice lolly stick type objects - insert them on each side to depress the holding tabs and pull gently towards the back of the car - might be easier to do one side at a time then its a matter of removing 2 screws at the top and 2 at the bottom disconnect the connectors at the back why are you removing may i ask?
  7. i would try the simplest thing first - disconnect the car battery for a few minutes just to reset things and see if it helps
  8. sorry cant figure that one - i remember fixing my washer bottle on my mark 4 but dont recognise that part
  9. As far as I know, if it is possible to buy the cooler part alone, it would only be a main dealer part. For that reason it would make sense to buy the whole thing, which would probably work out cheaper anyway. If there's corrosion at the bottom, it surely follows that the top isn't far behind. A complete radiator can be bought for £85 upwards. phil do they come complete with the ATF radiator aswell? do you have a link?
  10. well done for such an achievement - now you need a few days to straighten your back!
  11. makes nice reading: http://blog.lexus.co.uk/25-lexus-world-firsts/
  12. ah ok perhaps a rub down an spray over with silver paint might be the solution?
  13. reading this with interest guys - 2 questions 1) Tony would you say the corrosion was from outside to inside i.e caused by road moisture.salt grit etc? 2) when we talk about replacing the radiator we are talking about the small ATF radiator which i assume is sold as a seperate part t the main radiator?
  14. colin congratulations on your car perhaps you could post up your opinion/differences you have noticed in ride quality/smoothness/quiteness etc please thanks
  15. mine too - but i do alot of pottering around town thats one pampered LS for sure - she must be very happy
  16. HI You are missing a chrome cap which covers that sharp bit. mine looks like this:
  17. Brian Hi and thanks for this, really appreciate it. I slept on it and had another look. The reason I over did the bolt as I had not factored it going over a small cover too...oh dear. From a safety point of view the main work is done by x4 14mm bolts/nuts. I might be able to use a 12mm trim clip to offer a firmer fit to that part of the plastic cover. I will leave as is. So it wasn't the sealant or gasket remanants after all. This morning I fitted the rear under tray, took out the battery for charging as it was flat. And fitted and torqued the fan bracket. I'm waiting on the drive belt tensioner and driver belt idler pulley due soon I hope. Then I can complete the job. All good fun. :winky: We've all gone out to buy hats so we can take them off to you! we want see a video of the car running first LOL
  18. jonathan are you looking for a second one - i remember you buying a black one with cream leather?
  19. yes nice and clean - colour lets it down for me - gold seems to fade on the wing mirrors and bonnet
