  1. yes the pictures show minimalistic effort was made to take them - the description is no better - doesnt do the car any justice even if it is in "unbelieveable" condition
  2. there is a tutorial here http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/body/rearseat.html my guess is once you lift the seat base you might see some wiring and if its anything like the front seat heating it just one or two connectors to disconnect hope this helps
  3. I can highly recommend Evans Autos, I bought my Sportcross from them and they are brilliant. Not the cheapest but their cars are really top quality. Speak to Hugh Evans, tell him you were recommended by Adrian Barnes, I'm sure he will look after you. the forum at its best ! not only do you get free help and advise about your car but recmmendations/heads-up on dealers aswell barney you used to have a gold LS430 at one time IIRC?
  4. sounds good colin - just out if interest what mileage is your car and what was changed in the service? did you get a hybrid healthcheck? thanks
  5. i think its just reflection - still i would say good condition - definatley not unbelieveable and being black its likely to show more imperfections than any other colour
  6. this is funny - i thought nodic blue was the light blue like the car here: http://www.evansautos.co.uk/used-cars/north-cheam-surrey-lexus-gs-450h-se-auto-navigation-460/ but lexus are also advertising the navy blue one as nordic blue: http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-gs/gs-450h/3.5.aspx
  7. yes thats right - the bluey/purply colour - i think its unique and also hides swirl marks etc
  8. that looks a mint car - It does have one problem though - i cant afford it lol. for me it has to be either silver or nordic blue with cream or grey leather - dark colours and black leather is not for me
  9. i have been thinking about the gs450h for a while and its statements like above make me want it even more - im not a boy racer but feel i need a change now after driving the ls range for nearly 8 years. only think i can suggest is try to go for a warranty aswell for piece of mind
  10. well if my knowledge in plumbing is to go by i.e flow and return then that looks ok to me
  11. good decision mal the 430 boxes are also prone to leaking - if i ever need to replace them i will be going down the OEM route
  12. hi just to add - i have an ls430 and the coolant levels always ( and has done so for the last 3 years) sat roughly half an inch below the min mark - when i bought the car i thought it was low and topped it up but it just overflowed.
  13. yes agree wiith that - "pursuit" seems to convey that they are still trying to get there
  14. Good point, well presented! £1750 at 133k on an 02 plate. Regards Iain thats a bargain - one has just turned up on ebay same colour/mileage priced at 4495
  15. well considering the mileage done i think thats very good and I would'nt be complaining. a car which recently sold was a 06 plate with 130k and had had 1) Complete new battery 2) New shock and bushes all around 3) New water Pump
  16. yes definatley a 450 yes your right about reliability - its one of those cars where even "FSH" doesnt get you excited because you dont know when you are going to have hybrid cell problems with the LS range you often see galactic miles but not the GS - it surprised me. but i still want one LOL
  17. theres a high mileage gs450h for sale on auto trader 230k miles and still going strong wonder if shes had a replacement battery pack
  18. wow - thats alot of weight and alot of faith!! i had to put 4 bags of finishing plaster in my 430 boot and was praying all the way home - all 4 miles of it lol
  19. hi disabling the rear AC system on the 430s is a common practice - the reason for this is the pipes start to corrode and perish causing loss of gas and replacing the pipes as you know is not easy and requires alot of dismantling therefore a cheaper easier fix is to do what you have done. i think you need to start to see whether to compressor is kicking in at all and take things from there - if it is then your problem is elsewhere - if the compressor is not coming on then you need to investigate why not starting with simple things like fuses good luck
  20. this one however is 2 years younger and £800 cheaper with less miles http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS400-AUTO-SILVER-ONLY-73000-MILES-/171933342682?hash=item2808069bda
  21. i agree with roy - bluprint parts are very good unless they were fakes which could be the case
