yes definatley worth putting in a claim - especially the shock absorbers - Lexus will know well about them as they are a common failing item on the 450Hs - i would push for all 4 to be replaced
you can buy blanks of ebay which i found to be good quality with a gold lexus logo on the back
just buy one of them and transfer the electric chip over and get the blade cut.
agree with that - its a car that does get neglected sometime due to the fact they are very reliable and owners not seeing thee need for proper maintenance - mine is serviced every year on the dot
your either very brave or the missus is going soft on you lol!
i remember when i bought my 430 - I did not sleep a wink - my heart was racing all night - come morning i was there half an hour before the garage opened!
and even now 3 years on - i look every day - why? i dont know !
what do you intend to do with yours? your trying to sell the white one right?
leaking shocks is more common the GS range.
i have not come across any cases at all here on the LS forum of shocks needing replacing or any owner doing it.
However if the GS300/GS450h replacements are to go by then i would say its a dealer only part (about £600 each) and probably a good idea to get them replaced by the dealer also as i believe some calibration of the air suspension is required - a member here had the ride height sensors replaced by an independant garage using Original parts but the car would not rise afterwards so he had to take it to Lexus.
If you really interested then take it for an MOT before committing
I don't have any pets however i watch Super Vet with fascination. Some of the animals have very complicated problems but Noel deals with everything so easily - he is amazing !
heres my 2p worth - i have an ls430.
my seats are well hot after about 10 mins and if I am only wearing a shirt i have to turn them down - during the winter i leave them on all the time
i had never seen one up close - saw one today parked in our Sainsburys car park - its bigger than i thought and it looked very nice - it carries that "big car" "LS400" aura and i quite liked it even though i,m not a fan of 2 seaters.
a note on toyota servicing lexus - our local dealer (steven Eagell) will happily do it and charge toyota landcruiser V8 pricing which starts at £259 for a service
sounds like you got a fully loaded example.
yes i have seen some people used black mats on the beige interior - another option is to use clear over mats which are sold in halfords.
good luck
in 8 years if lexus ownership (MK3, Mk4 and ls430) - very rarely do i check the fluids - it gets serviced on the dot every year and have needed to top up or noticed any loss of fluids
I think i have just seen the car you saw - that picture of the door card looks like a dog has chewed it - and not the best photos either - rain on the leather - does not come across as very caring dealer
