  1. hi - they are part of the screen so the whole screen has to come out - i believe you start at the bottom (heated seat panel) and work your way upwards to remove it
  2. yes thats correct - then there is 2 lugs on the lights which go into hole on the bodywork - so you will need to wiggle the light a little to free up the lugs
  3. just spoken to lexus who told me they use pristine alloys - on speaking to pristine alloys they told me to do the factory finish its £20 more than their standard finish - has anybody ever used them - if yes which finish did you go for?
  4. hi I have checked - still atleast 40 miles away - I don't really have the time
  5. I want to get my wheels refurbed but cannot have the car offroad nor do I have tools or axel stands so reluctantly i am considering mobile refurbishers Can anyone recommend any company around beds/herts/bucks area? - what are your views?
  6. Hi for me without a doubt they look better and suit the car well - after all the only main external difference between the modesl is the lights. bonnet and bumper. I would keep them. by the way did you notice any difference in ride quality or steering feel?
  7. true - it certainly is a nice car and has many positive however suspension work can be pricey so factor that in. Well said about the simple valet - even after 12 years my grey interior looks as good as new with very little wear evident - and thats only using a damp cloth to give it wipe
  8. bodywork needs attention - if you look down the listing - the dealer has given pictures - 10 out of 10 for interior - last MOT history mentions shock absorber fluid leak and corroded springs so if possible maybe have on the ramp for a good nose around
  9. The LS430 is an amazing car and when you buy one some things are omitted from your normal driving life such as: Ever hearing the engine running in normal driving Ever having the need to switch on your wipers Ever having the need to switch on your lights Ever having the need to look for the key hole or inserting the key in the ignition and looking at other modern cars and thinking wish I had one of them - at least for me anyways. Now back to the question - my ls430 does have a key hole next to the drivers door handle - hope this helps
  10. cutting it is not a good idea - It must be there for a reason It might be an idea to remove the seat and look underneath - this will also give you a chance to look and clean underneath the seat - you might also some find some coins aswell. Before removing disconnect battery and wait 20 mins then remove the 4 screws - tilt seat backwards and disconnect electrical connections. to remove from the car you will also have to undo the seatbelt nut on the side of the seat then rotate the seats towards you and it should come out - it is heavy and awkward but doable - i have done it.
  11. this post could not of come at a better time - i am look aswell as mine will need replacing soon - i currently have dunlops - have been looking on camskill and some of the ratings on cheapo are not bad - i was considering avon. Scotts post has made me think . . . . . . . . ...
  12. By the way the LS430 wont lock if the keys are in the car or boot - how clever is that lol
  13. can't really anything - simon has covered it all - hope you get it sorted soon
  14. for me it doesnt appeal especially on the lexus however my brothers BMW 520 was debadged when new as an available option phil put your badges back on lol
  15. HI yes it has happened before to a member here - there is a post on here about it
  16. LOL - everytime I make my mind up some bad review comes up and disheartens me - i look forward to your write up with interest
  17. messi that was one wrong move - today it would of cammanded a premium price - it still had under 60k on its last mot
  18. Lexus should be honouring the repair and carrying it out without any fuss. The shocks have been one of the weakest parts of the GS450H and most have been plagued by them failing - just been on auto trader and 50K ish mileage 07 plate has come up and guess what one of the shocks is misting - for a premium brand thats not good. I have been thinking about buying a GS450h for a while - on one hand i have my current LS430 which has been fine for the 4 years i had it - on the other i could go and buy a GS450h with a risk of expensive repairs. I only want it because the CVT excites me and I just want to try something different.
  19. i was expecting to read................................" a mark 4 came up for sale locally and ......................................................................... lol Have had fence from wickes and was okish - very roughly sawn and lots of saw dust
  20. would love to hear your comparison between the two becuase i have been thinking about the GS450H
  21. well heres my 2p worth - I have an LS430 I bought the all singing dancing Michelin Stealth - not cheap - they started juddering badly after 6 months - I tried cleaning them and the screen and the juddering did not improve. I then decided to try the other end of the price spectrum and bought a pair of aero blades from ebay (i think it was mr silicone hoses or something) they had sold hundreds so i thought lets try them out - cost £4.50 - had them over 6 months and they are still brilliant - smooth, quite and a crisp clean wipe every time and at that price I would be happy to buy a new set every year if needed. HTH
  22. MIke i would stick to Genuine Toyota Coolant - either go to a dealer or have a look on ebay.
