    If you dont want to shell out then you can can snip the sensor off and join the 2 wires. I cannot remember the last time I wore the pads right down that they became dangerous or stopped the brakes working.

    You need to check and replace the rear ride height sensor- these are prone to water damage and fail or start malfunctioning

    Hi Kal There is many reasons why the light comes on - its best to read the code and find out whats causing it. I stand corrected here but if you can find out the history of the light i.e if it was there before you bought the car or if the bulb has been tampered with then you can take this up with the seller.

    Hi Steve - You are correct to come extent - during my research I came across posts from this forum where members were told to buy a new rack costing £1900?? One member did manage to buy them seperatley from Lexus sheffield. I hope I can source a decent aftermarket set.

    The car came back with an advisory - slight play in steering rack bushes - I think this might be why I'm getting roadfeel through the steering with the steering tending to move on uneven road surfaces. Does anybody know what the part number(s) are for the steering rack mounting bushes and/or if there is a compatible toyota number? The only option I have at the moment is TM Engineering is USA thanks alot

    Hi Neil That is a lovely looking LS -definatley a good decision to keep her on the road. Did you suspension go flat whilst it was parked up?

    Great looking car - enjoy! Mine used to be the same colour with grey leather - I sold it in 2012 for 2k - it was in excellent condiiton and having just looked up the mileage it has just done 101K - Just goes to show how values have bounced back on these cars.

    I read today that a couple won 20k payout from channel 4 for invasion of privacy when can’t pay we’ll take it away stormed their flat and recorded everything

    Yep took advantage of their offer - have some Pagid rear pads for the 430 on their way - £16 after discount.

    Hi - I tried that - but did not work - after a bit more research it came to light that it might be the internals of the the actual cap hence the reason to replace it. There is a video on youtube.

    Oxygen sensors are a nightmare! - There are 101 reasons why the VSC and engine light might come on and then look at some of the awkward postions the sensors are located. My light has been on over a year but the emissions are fine and they are no other symtoms - I have just bought and replaced the fuel cap today with a genuine item. I'm hoping this will cure it otherwise will have to start buying sensors. Hope you get your sorted phil.

    Hi yes one member bought one recently - if you look for a thread entitled ls430 bug in the exhaust - he was quite happy with it - I have also made a note and if mine ever needs doing then I will be buying one aswell - I just wonder how long the chrome lasts on the tips? btw what mileage is yours at and is it the back boxes which are gone?

    This probably does not help the OP,s problem - but im sure when just surfing around I read a selling advery which stated this problem. I dont think I have every achieved 5K revs in my 430 lol
