  1. It was not standard on the 430 - it was an option on the facelift version 53 plate onwards - you can tell if an ls430 has it by looking at the grill - ACC ones have a clear square around the grill badge. I dont think ALL 360s had it either
  2. I remember reading about the problem and owners in the USA have got over the problem with a software fix
  3. Hi - Yes I know John and im not too fussed as the youngest kid will soon no longer need a buggy and I'm not a keen golfer
  4. Thanks for taking the time to post up AJ the positives are very good especially the brakes. The larger size is expected by a negative for - Im already watching the wing mirrors when i drive exoecially where I live The negatives are BIG negatives for me and If I ever upgrade to one im going to make sure I take an extended test drive to make sure im fully satisfied. I remember when I bought my 430 (upgrading from 400) it took me many months to get used to it - I even bought another 400 to go back to but in the end was persuaded by family to keep the 430 - 5 years on and I'm still happy with mine. The only other car I keep thinking about is a GS450H but needs to be 10/11 plate, silver with grey leather. I think they are unique cars and i really want to experience the seemless acceleration from the CVT and since I do mainly short runs i think it will be well suited to me. Enjoy yours!
  5. I Agree I have an LS430 and have possible never used the key to open the boot and whilst replacing the boot struts I noticed the keyhole was covered in black crud (this was after a wash) Another dirt trap on the 430 is the boot hinge area - there was a poole of black crud sitting there and it is impossible to clean. Hopefully we will have some nice weather soon and can do a proper well overdue detail of our cars.
  6. There are some listed here: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/oem-lexus-ls400-emblem.html You can also try amayama by using the baove part numbers
  7. Hi Mike The best way too find out is "if possible" have a Hybrid Health Check" carried out by a Lexus dealer - this will cost £60 and will guarantee the battery for a 12 months - I think car will need all or majority delaer service history. On the flip side if you do have battery problems after purchase, it's normally 1/2 bad cells rather then the whole battery - there are companies out there who will replace cells and re-condition the battery for around £800.
  8. Looks like big brother has landed! go on give us a comparison then.
  9. Its difficult to say as i havent read about these problems on here. It might be a simple battery reset. My brother has the same window issue on his BMW and need a new window mechanism
  10. Hi one of the differences is the Radar Cruise Control with Lane Departure Warning - the box is the gizmo which scans the drivers face and if it notices driver looking away from road you get a warning i.e steering buzzes. Hopefully more knowledgable memebrs will be along soon who know more than me.
  11. In this case the finished repair will only be as good as the person doing it - I would try to get personal recommendations when trying to search for this sort of service - If this is not possible - It might help if you ask chipsaway if you can look at an example of their current work.
  12. Just goes to show that even Lexus dont make them like they used to - the calipers on my 14 year old ls430 are nice and grey
  13. Hi - Does this help at all https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-3rd-gen-2001-2006/445122-how-to-remove-rear-seats-01-03-ul.html
  14. First screen tells you to check the audio unit - I think your audio unit is faulty which is why the amp appears as "NCON" i.e a signal is not being sent to it. I done one earlier when my amp fuse was blown - you can check the thread here which also has a pic of my screen.
  15. Have you tried this - it tells you if the amp is working or not? Also have you checked the fuse for the amp in the drivers side footwell board?
  16. Hi Mark Have you had it looked at? Have you tried a replacement unit?
  17. Hi Bob Hope it all goes well - can you please take some pictures of the chrome pipes once fitted (since you have a facelift 430) - just want to see how they compare - also want your opinion on the exhaust noise under normal local driving condition - many thanks
  18. I would be interested in some picturs of the fitted exhaust particularly the chrome tips as i want to compare them with the existing set up please.
  19. Very nice enjoy! You missed a bit - under the seats lol - thats where you find the £1 coins!
  20. Well at that price why not - the product looks half decent in the pictures.
  21. What happened to your picnic table install ? - never did see the finished article
