  1. Hi Martin The GS450H is a brilliant piece of engineering. However it does have a few weak spots. When buying check the following: Seized calipers - expecially rear ones. Rusted exhaust back boxes. Leaking Shock Absorbers - Lexus is the only supplier for replacements. Creaking dash. Headlight bulb flickering or going out after a while - Remedy is to swap the bulbs over or replace them. Rust on the leading edge of the bonnet. Faulty TPMS Valves HYBRID BATTERY: As above a health check is available from Lexus for vehicles under 10 years and 140k miles. On the flip side if you can't get the health check and have battery problems: it is normally 1 or 2 cells which are low - these can be replaced and the battery reconditioned for aorund £800. A member on here Richard is recommended. Hope this helps
  2. If you are wanting to save your favourite stations using the preset then you find you desired station and then press and hold the position button on the touchscreen hope this helps
  3. Man those wheels/calipers look good! I’m going to have to copy you! whats the verdict on the bushes?

  5. Excellent write up pete! - I'll wait till you have your car on the road - Please do post up what difference you feel regarding the bushes.
  6. That’s a nice fit and very clean LS! i bet you tried to remove those scuff marks off the edge of the seat but didn’t succeed!
  7. I have had this type fitted for a couple of years now without any problems https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lot-T10-501-W5W-5-SMD-LED-Xenon-White-Canbus-Car-Wedge-Side-Interior-Light-Bulbs/252368161576?epid=11000500202&hash=item3ac2508b28:m:mkLpiPAfNw8zUpZ3ZTFX8Vg
  8. Hi Rob Pete has the same problem as is thinking of replacing his himself - might be worth keeping an eye on this thread https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/115512-ls430-build-thread/
  9. Hi - This is a cmmon problem - there is a company that does repairs BBA Reman Also there used to be a member Chris Vince who used to carry out repairs of this type - you can either send him your cluster or take the car to him - try to look him up on this forum
  10. Excellent thread and work! - I have done this but I lack the ability to think outside the box like using a bit of tissue lol! Brilliant
  11. I have a spare cassette player sitting around which was given to me by member Neil here - you can have it if you want
  12. Hi Jon Glad you got your car back all sorted and that you are happy with it. It is sitting to low for my liking - it appears as if the suspenision has collapsed ( although it has not) I have googled images of the 600h and the found the space around the sides of the arch is same all the way round including the top.
  13. If I was looking and that keen and desperate and I was hoping to keep the car a long time I would pay upto £4000 there is another one light green which has been advertised many times
  14. Hi Jaffer I cannot help with your query but was just curious as why you chose the 430 to drive to Pakistan? The roads are not the best there and you wont be able to get that smooth refined drive plus what if you hve suspension problems? - will you find a garage to fix such suspension problems? One advice I would give is fit a separate transmission cooler if you havent already done so - not only will it prevent the the posiability of radiator failure and fluids mixing but also pakistan climate is alot hotter and a stand alone cooler will help keep things cool.
  15. Im using pagid discs with ferrodo pads on my 430 - they perform just like the originals - good bite smooth and quite braking with no dust. I normally also work off the factory jack but as a back up I put the wheel under the car aswell just incase.
  16. Hi - Cannot help with your question but have you considered one of them solar trickle chargers?
  17. Hi This is a common problem on the pre-facelift version. The ride height sensors are prone to water damage ( they are located near the rear struts) This is what has caused the malfunction. From what you have written it does sound like this malfunction caused the compressor to over-run and blow the struts - however at the same time I keep thinking there must be a fail safe on the car which would prevent this from happening?? It clearly needs looking and for me "air suspension" is one of the characteristics of the 430 and I would be inclined to source some second hand units and get them fitted - obviously you will need a set of ride height sensors aswell. You will need to find a garage who know the workings of air suspension otherwise you might find yourself in a pickle. One member tried to get his ride heaight sensors replaced at an independant and could'nt get the suspension to rise resulting in him taking the car to a lexus dealer. Hope this helps
