  1. " however some vehicles from other manufacturers adopt a more rudimentary indirect method that uses existing wheel speed sensors to ‘measure’ tyre pressure by detecting differences in the rate of wheel rotation. " This is what they use in the LS430 !
  2. I always flick the switch once in a while just to keep all the components moving - I have also found the ride becomes even smoother and quieter - I normally drive for a few days in high before flicking the switch back - personally I can’t see this doing any damage.
  3. A member on here called SH20 used a product from xcarlink- they sell various products for the lexus - the mentioned member did a write up when he fitted his and apparently its very easy to fit - please have a look through xcarlink website and the forums for SH20 posts.
  4. I'm actually surprised a main dealer is actually selling quite an old vehicle with high mileage and patchy history. As pointed out above there is no such thing as sold as seen ( in a private sale maybe) so if everything else is fine I would go for it. If the vehicle develops a major fault within 6 months then you do have comeback and in my opinion a main dealer would be more forthcoming than an independant dealer. Good uck whatever you decide
  5. This problem also manfests itself on the LS430 vehicles
  6. lovely looking car messi and certainly the interior looks immaculate which is rare - nice find!
  7. Hope you are ok Pete - Such a shame after all the effort and expense you put in to get it right! - if you do buy it back I am interested in the wheels!
  8. Stanley you havent mentioned the important thing - how does the drive compare between the 2 given the difference in mileage
  9. I reckon if it hasn’t had a hybrid battery replaced they problems are imminent. There is also a high chance of hybrid oil pump failure ( although this is a cheap fix in the right hands)
  10. for this chap it was seemed true lol https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6243255/dad-feared-to-be-having-affair-after-wife-found-fake-nail-found-two-strangers-in-his-motor/
  11. Brake fluid should not need tioping up unless there is a leak somewhere in the system - I would get the braking system check front to back for leaks
  12. I would get your battery checked - a weak or failing battery throws up all sorts of gremlins
  13. There was recall issued for premature failing bulbs - Lexus would replace them FOC - maybe you didnt know about it.
  14. Its all good education Peter and at mileages of 100k it can be expected than one or two things are worn.
