  1. "I got £1000 off due to i knew the pads all round needed done from previous MOT Failure, but when booked in with Lexus to fit and supply new pads they say all disc are needing done which set me back at £800 for disc and pads all round plus the diagnostic check." Did Lexus not spot that when they fitted the brakes? that looks very bad and is a disaster waiting to happen.
  2. True - These maginificent cars lose value because of this and are slowly being pushed off the road due to the high running costs and to be replaced by so called more economical models.
  3. The GS450h Headlight bulb problem is well documented here - a member found the electrical contact within the bulb socket corrodes creating a bad connection - swapping the bulbs over normally cures this problem.
  4. BTW dont be tempted by keys from the USA - they work on a different frequency and wont work
  5. The LS range generally is a bit rare - i hardly ever see one although recently a new owner has surfaced localish
  6. Hi well if you have a master key then you’re fine - you could potentially explore the possibility of buying a second hand key and getting a Lexus dealer to program it for you - but that’s at the dealers discretion as they don’t like getting involved with second hand parts. I have also seen videos on YouTube of Toyota Camry owners programming a smart key using techstream - takes literally seconds - need to do more research me thinks . . . .
  7. My local dealer will supply and re-program and additional key for circa £185 You may be able to negotiate a little on this as the programming does no take long - This was a couple of years ago - Im not sure if an alternative solution is available now as I have not looked recently
  8. If what you say works for the OP then Lexus dealer has some explaining to do!
  9. Pete haylands mentioned someone in one of his posts who was quite reasonable
  10. What’s the reason for that then? I have the same car and pay £305 ( I think)
  11. If you bought the car from a dealer you can raise the issue with them first and foremost - if not then Lexus dealer is ur best bet as these cars are very small in numbers and complicated aswell
  12. This was discussed many years ago - A member wanted to replace his seat ( with a seat from a mark 4) due to the failed heating element which is a common mark 3 problem and he found the connectors on the bottom are different. hth
  13. Well mine have been a bit useless lately when the temperature has hit 30 degrees - however normally they work well and you notice the base cooling withing a couple of minutes.
  14. Hi John the amplifier is a weak spot on the Lexus Vehicles - members have reported faults on the LS430 and LS460 before. Sadly I have had this problem - it turned out to be the power supply on the amplifier - I had mine repared by SVT services in Glasgow for £285 inc return postage. When mine packed up I heard a loud crackle and thats it - all the functions on the screen still worked inc volume counting up but no sound at all. On the 430 there is afuse for the amp - might be worth looking if this is the case with yours and checking it. There is a simple diagnostic you can do through the touchscreen for the LS430 - not sure if it will work on your vehicle.
  15. Hi Jonathan others have commented on the unqiue accelaration of the GS450H which cannot be experienced in any other marque. The earlier GS450Hs have a lot of weak spots such as shock absorbers, battery cells etc etc. The newer ones seem to be more reliable or atleast there has been no reports of the above. Go for a test drive a see what you think - shame you didnt get to test drive the LS600H otherwise you could make a comparison. The premier is Top spec - I think Head up Display came a little later If I ever upgrade it would be either LS600H or GS450H. Good Luck
  16. That car is sitting very high for a DHP - I would ask the seller why this is?
  17. I used to have bridgestones on mine which were noisy - I then changed to Dunlop which were not better - I have now Avon ZZ5 fitted which im very happy with. See the original tread here: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/109524-tyre-recommendation-ls430/
  18. I just checked out the website out of curosity as i had never heard of them and it appears the website still live and taking orders - it does state under new ownership. I find it bizarre such an established bsuiness does not list their contact address??
