    I cannot help with original question but I've read on here a few times that LS400/430 does not suffer from valve seat recession and that flashlube is not required because the valves are hardened

    eBay can be risky - questions have sometimes been raised over authenticity of branded parts such as sparkplugs I would go with something like blueprint from a reputable source

    When I had my 400 the armrest phone kept draining the battery - in the end my removed it -if yours has one fitted then it might be worth investigating.

    Yes I know malc just wondering if the ride height had actually made a difference to the ride feel

    Dewsbury auto salvage might be worth a try - they have 44 Lexus listed on their website but no mark 3s though but you never know

    I wonder if the ride is even smoother? - On my 430 when I set the suspension high - the ride does become marginally smoother

    I used fully synthetic- can’t rememberthe Capacity bit was roughly 6-7 litres

    When I had may mark 3 (for 3 years) and mark 4 (2 years) I used Castrol 0w-30 without any problems

    Sorry about your trouble - Lexus have in the past been surprisingly competitive on batteries and wipers - so definitely worth a call - you might even get a free valet not to mention the lovely coffee and biscuits ( personally yet to taste them lol)

    I tried the fix - i.e remove, dry and apply varnish but didn’t work for me - this was many years ago

    A phrase which I heard somewhere also applies to our cars “quietly Brilliant “ i also agree with malc. - I’m trying to distinguish the check vsc light on mine without luck so interesting problem which doesn’t effect the car in anyway apart from refusal of mot certificate!

    When you unscrew it the knob does appear firm and it feels like you are cross threaded the threads but it does come off eventually
