  1. Hi phil I don't understand why you are going through this extra expense when suspension failures are far and few between. You car is also low mileage which reduces the chance even further. mine is on 140k plus and no signs of leaks or problems. What happens if your car is written off??
  2. No I haven’t but it was originally advertised by private seller in st Neots for 5495 before this seller snapped it up - I believe he is a trader from home - originally it hade a couple of scrapes on the bumper
  3. HI Messi it was a straight fit because Phil's LS430 is a Celsior (import)
  4. it opened on my phone last night - (although didn't read it all) But won't open now on the laptop
  5. A silver facelift ls430 has just appeared on ebay with FSH - I believe it is a members car - might be worth a look
  6. Good question - obviously I never tried so cannot say but my gut feeling tells me due to the incline it probably would not of held The car has never had any advisories regarding the parking brake
  7. I have an ls430 and rarely use the parking break - but last week I had to visit some one who has a really really steep drive - I had to drive up and then reverse up to the left to wards the garage - I then put the parking brake on and park and the car held fine - again this was unusually steep village driveway - as other have voiced OP car needs checking out
  8. Sorry - just wanted to add don't be confused into buying a fob from the USA - they operate in a different frequency so will not work.
  9. Hi J You may be able to program the buttons to unlock and lock the car provided you have a working master key The smart entry and start can only be done by a lexus dealer. There has been people mentioning here that it can be done yourself via techstream but I haven't come across a post where someone has done it definitively using this method. If you already have techstream then give it a try - if you haven't then proceed with caution and do plenty of homework before buying the software and cable. I bought it and found the latest version (12 I think) doesn't even have smart programming option - that's after I spent days getting the software to work buying windows 7 laptop etc etc
  10. Thanks everybody for your input I think this is what i'm looking for - a premier with standard wheels https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS-300h-Premier-LEXUS-S-HISTORY-NEW-MOT-PETROL-AUTOMATIC-2013-13/312464064736?hash=item48c04f40e0:g:qaEAAOSwdj1cWzuG:rk:12:pf:0
  11. I'm looking at 14/15 plate ones I know premier is top spec - but cant see what the difference between luxury, advance and SE is?
  12. HI Guys Does anyone have a link to the difference in specs for the IS300h please. Also is there a big difference in road feel/noise between the standard alloys and the 18 inch ones found on the premier spec? Many thanks
  13. Have you considered making one? ☺️ https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/117818-extra-bright-bits/
  14. There is a post on here from pete haylands doing a comparison - it gives and insight into his opinion - its a good read.
  15. Yes mr buss you are correct - also the visible twin tailpipes are also a feature of the facelift ls430
  16. The facelift has a more sleeker front with slightly different shape headlights, 18 inch alloys and wood interior finish. The key was also lightly different
  17. Nah - you can do better than that! I would either try to clean up those nuts or buy new ones. I would also remove the wheel and clean and paint the brake disc and caliper. One guy called SH20 actually chrome plated his locking nuts:
  18. yes that's a good price I also notice on Auto Trader , a 200k miles LS600 has been reduced to £4995 - incredible value for money albeit it will need some suspension work at those miles
  19. Hi Nice car there - I used to own a blue one with grey leather many years ago. Regarding the wheels - have you considered buy lexus alloys - the following have been tried in the past: Lexus LS430 alloys Lexus SC430 alloys Lexus LS400 DHP alloys Lexus GS300 sport alloys worth a consideration.
  20. mmm interesting points gareth - we have a 520d m sport with 19s in the family and I find the seats and suspension too firm - I think I have to test drive one to see. I must add the LS430 is so quite locally that I do ask myself whether you can get any quiter
