    Harry try to take to an auto electrician rather than a garage - an electrician will be able to easily diagnose this

    Hi I would start with checking the 12V battery is holding full charge You have already ruled out the key remote and ouside interference being at fault.

    Sounds like the motors are sided and have been fitted incorrectly or maybe the wiring has been plugged wrong way round. I would disconect the 12V battery negative terminal - leave for 20 mins and then retry. If it does not resolve itself contact the dealer.

    Thats a great link - some enjoyable reading ! Has anybody got any input between GS300h and 450H in terms of engine refinement. 90% of my driving is local I do know that the acceleration in the 450H is unmatched - but that would only benefit me occasionally. But I would still consider the 450H if the right spec became available.

    Well the main 2 things are HUD and sunroof - I like light airy interior - white with cream leather The facelift ones appeal less to me - too much aggressiveness in the front bumper

    Thanks for the replies guys - my search continues . . . . The F sport wins on looks The premier wins on spec We will see which one comes up first I guess we were spoilt with the LS which got everything thrown in bar ACC

    I have been toying with the idea of buying a GS300H and it looks like a GS300 f sport with HUD does not exist? What about a premier with Sunroof. HUD and apple carplay. I'm mainly looking at 14/15 plate cars thanks guys

    The whole battery won't be fault - it would be individual cells - these can be replaced and the battery reconditoned with warranty for circa £600 by independant companies. The car in current state wont be worth much at all (with its faults) if you decide to part exchange it or sell. On a side note did it have a Hybrid Health check last year? or is it too old for that.

    Lexus Perfected this technology on the LS430 - I very rarely have to touch the wiper stalk - they work perfectly in all conditions and mines had a replacement screen in the past. Its a pity technology which was perfect in 2004 has gremlins now!

    Hi It could be a malfunction in the worm gear in the seat mechanism - In the LS430 you can remove the seat by removing bolts in each corner (hidden by a plastic cover) You could try this and see if you can see the cause of the fault. There are electrical connectors underneath aswell - remember to disconnect battery and wait 10 minute if you are going to diconnect them.

    The LS430 air con is ice cold - It was 23 degrees outside the other day and I couldn't bare it blowing directly onto me

    I personally have no experience of this - but other members have mentioned it here quite a few times where a Lexus dealer has approached them in a similar way (especially those with cars on PCP).

    Oh WOW! Thats is a rare breed - and I as an LS430 owner am jealous!! I wish I could buy these cars and park them up in my own museum She's beautiful!

    I may be in luck here. Yesterday the weather was quite warm and I just tried the telescopic function I could hear the motor trying to work. So this could possibly be a stiff mechanism which needs lubrication. Can anyone recommend the best thing to use for lubricating the moving parts? - I have some red grease in the garage - will this suffice?
