  1. Hi Pete That looks a god one and does stand out from the rest - hopefully it does have FSH - I think the only option missing is heated steering wheel. At that sort of price I would be inclined to get lexus to do a health check and make sure nothing is amiss underneath - being a heavy car suspension components need to be looked at. Also remember is in the higher tax bracket circa £500 pa Silver colour is very easy to keep clean and ages well.
  2. Sorry the above should read it is NOT normal for the car to sink overnight.
  3. It is normal for the car to sink overnight - his means there is an air leak which can only get worse - had mine 7 years and it does not sink, nor do I notice any difference in ride height - the compressor comes on occasionally - hope this helps
  4. I have had a ballast go on my headlight - it went suddenly from working to dead - to replace you need to remove headlight and bumper to access it as it’s located under the headlight
  5. This problem is quite common on the gs450h - and is usually fixed by buying new bulbs - I would swap the bulbs over and see if the problem moves over to the other side to confirm this.
  6. Hi Thomas Here a couple of pointers: Cut out the music Try to find a quieter place to film Make sure camera is in focus at all times Use a tripod where possible - I see a lot of camera wobble Have a look at Car Wow videos Hope this helps
  7. Would you guys recommend getting this vsv changed during a cam belt change - especially if car is approaching 150k miles?
  8. I was just watching this video and can't help thinking they have copied the Lexus LS (seats, rear console, blinds and clock) with a bit of BMW thrown in . . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7MtIv9a0A4
  9. The car being discussed has been reduced to £3895 from the original price of £4227
  10. Hi Jim If sounds like a power problem to me if all are not engaging - I would first check that they have no been accidently turned off - If no luck I would let the dealer sort it out.
  11. Hi A dehumidifier might solve the problem but the root cause will still be there I would check for leaks - this could be door, boot and sunroof seals and rear lights - also check for blocked rain channels. Leave your aircon on all the time - this ensures dry air circulated into the cabin Ensure recirculate is always left set to outside air Leave airflow set to feet and front windshield. I have a 430 and with these settings I hardly ever have to touch any control unless on iced up morning Hope this helps
  12. HI This is a common problem with the LS430 - I suspect you don't get the beeps either when you change the cabin temperature. There is a company which repairs these - they are SVT services in Edinburgh - they done mine a few years ago. The amp is located in the rear boot wing - you will need to remove the black plastic trim, luggage net securing rings and the internal boot liber to access it and remove it. The amp also has a separate fuse which is believe is located in the driver footwell panel - worth checking this before you start removing the amp There is a video here showing how to remove the amp : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cn7hMtmoOo You can also run a diagnostic through the screen - instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGS_ybEMvMI
  13. HI Alan Welcome to the club ! Wow you have had a great line up of Lexi! What are you driving now? Which one was your favourite? I'm guessing it was the 430?
  14. This sounds exactly like the same as when my amplifier packed on my 430 - the audio system appeared to work as it should apart from no sound. I also did not have the beeps when temperature control arrows were pressed - this was diagnosed as power supply failure within the amp and repaired by SVT mentioned above The LS430 also has separate fuse for the amp - might be worth checking this on your car Hope this helps and you gets yours sorted
  15. Should be a straight forward job for dave - hopefully your car will be back to normal soon
  16. This problem must be related to the body shape or camera placement because I never have this problem on the 430
  17. aaahhhh the suspense When you going to ask him lol A few months ago I got chatting to an old bloke in a car park about his brand new GS300h - he hadn't even taken the plastic off the rear kick plates and doors - the front one was already scratched - he then went on to say that they were giving them away at 34K - different spectrums of the world eh
  18. I was just watching this video about the LS400 If you forward to 5:35 he talks about and shows the warning lights which are projected down from above the cluster - I never new that - was this a standard setup on all of them or was it just USA only? Have any of you guys seen this? I have a mark 1 for a brief period and I don't remember seeing this feature
  19. Just listed on Auto Trader - An LS430 with 16.5k miles priced at £8495 I reckon this is going to turn up at a dealer pretty soon
