I'm not happy with Textar - lots of brake dust and the shhh sound - I have already bought a set of EBC Ultimax 2 - £24 inc delivery direct from them Pagid are good - I heard porsche use them

Silver does suit these cars very well, it doesn't age and hides dirt and imperfections very well. My previous 430 was a silver and sometimes I do want one - my current is grey and becomes dirty very quickley

The £8250 LS has now been reduced to £7990

As above also check: a) Petrol cap is tight b) Check around air filter and housing to ensure nothing is loose. I've had this twice, first was upstream oxygen sensor, 2nd was loose clamp on air intake

It's been on sale for alot longer than others aswell - I'm sure it's more than 6 months

Hi Ross in the LS430 there is a seperate fuse for the amplifier located in the drivers side footwell - maybe you need to double check the fuses to ensure no blown fuse specifically for the amp. The fuse is easily blown when taking out the head unit without disconnecting the battery - as I found out

So are we saying the fault is still there - just dont gove 5k rpm and it won't give you any issues? - if it still there how can it be fixed - new sensor?

I was going to suggest selling it and also valued it as above - aswell as the slightly lower valuation I also noticed AT is showing it as F Sport - so my hunch is the dealer has entered the reg into AT and used their pre-filled template. There is no harm in writing to the dealer with your reasoning and see what they say? Did they even make an F Sport in this particular year?

sounds like not quite a time-warp - and certainly not as good as yours? - is it still as good ?

Malc its an import vehicle and the plates are not fitted in the first 2 pictures - it is however visible in the last picture

It came in a blue Textar box - I think it has one of their white stickers on it with info - with Lexus invoice. It was not a Lexus or red/white Toyota box

they are the ones I bought from - It appears they use Textar as their supplier?

I've read up on these and they sound very good - and only £25 - £30 - I might go for these

I recently bought some brake pads for my LS430 from a Lexus dealer - the ones on the car had plenty of wear but the groaning sound when coming to a stop was annoying me. Firstly when the pads arrived I noticed they were Textar brand - these can be bought for much cheaper from reputable outlets online - that was my first disappointment. Now that the pads are fitted they emit a ssshhh sound when braking (its minor but can be heard even at low speeds) They also emit alot of brake dust Has anybody else experienced this I might change them for a different brand this summer - Can anybody suggest a brand - they need to be quite, have a good bit and zero dust

It looks like this is a regular failing part on the 600h - I've seen a 07 plate ls600h advertised as spares or repairs - after asking what was wrong with it I was told it needed the same part as above

I watched part of that - he probably managed to pick up the least cared for 430

Possibly - if the car is offered with that option then it maybe possible to add it by purchasing all the parts - this may involve a replacement compatible windscreen aswell. I know alot of owners have done the modification on their GS in USA. I don't know why all new cars dont come with HUD - It is very useful and simple technology - I've bought a OBD plug in one for my 430 and it works great - but trailing wires and having to put a sticker on my screen put me off - but it works perfectly.

enjoy your new car! - I'll keep an eye on the for sale section ha ha The LS is still going strong! albiet someone scratched the rear bumper whilst parked - put some new michelins on it - now running smooth and quite as ever.
