  1. This is just a guide as its based on the LS430 The seat is held down by 4 bolts which maybe hidden with plastic covers - you may need to remove these covers to expose the bolts. After removing the securing bols - tilt the seat backwards to disconnect the electrical connection plugs under the seat hope this is some help
  2. How old is the battery? I would get the battery checked/charge if needed.
  3. Hi Alan Have you tried paul frost? copied from another post: Paul Frost Mobile phone 07590 072646 Cotton Hall Street Darwen BB3 0DW England
  4. In the ls430 they are exposed - but tbh don't ever notice them
  5. Hi How old is your battery? - Have you checked to see its not failing as a low battery can cause this?
  6. Hi Len Sorry what I really meant is if I can pick up a 3 ton jack and axle stands together - reasonably priced. The stands are very reasonable.
  7. Hi Len thats exactly what I mean - I wanted to paint my calipers and replace brake pads - but for a one-off job I didn't want to buy more tools. I am on the look out for some reasonably priced jack/axle stands
  8. Agrred - I have been meaning to change the front brake pads on my 430 myself - but don't have the confidence in the supplied jack.
  9. HI Malc the middle one is blue I'm sure the actual mileage is in miles - its just a facebook setting
  10. I noticed these 3 LS400s for sale on facebook market place - might be of interest to someone: Mark 4: (1) Marketplace - 1998 Lexus LS 400 | Facebook Blue Mark 3: (1) Marketplace - 1997 Lexus LS 400 | Facebook Green Mark 3: (1) Marketplace - 1997 Lexus LS 400 | Facebook
  11. might be of interest to someone sensible miles and I think very reasonably priced in todays climate: 2004 Lexus LS430 Manual | eBay
  12. Hi It can be done pretty cheapily - have a read through ahmed's blog
  13. Hi The keyless system on these cars is pretty reliable and work very well. I would: 1) Check the sensor under the door handle is clean 2) Reset the system by using the button under the dash 3) If above does'nt work them disconnect the car battery for 10 minutes and then re-connect - this will reset all the electrical systems in the car. Does the issue happen anywhere? or any one particular location (rule out interference) The final resort might be to take it a good time-served electrician to diagnose or Lexus themselves
  14. maybe I'm getting old - but I don't like it - interior or exterior
  15. I bought my first LS in 2007 - so 15 odd years and counting . . . . .
  16. I recently came across this video on Youtube - the interior and exterior are in unspoiled condition. However the underside has surface rust - is this expected - what do you guys think?
  17. this one was on Gumtree on February priced at £7900
  18. I'm lucky I don't do big miles therfore can continue to run my 430 Last week I gave it a quick wash:
  19. I would contact the supplying dealer and see what they say - there is an obvious fault present. I would do it sooner rather than later just incase they cannot book you in promptly
  20. This one has been on sale for a while (approx a year) There is a thread here duscussing value and aksing price:
