  1. and you got them lined in the wrong order surely is should be a LS600H - 2 Litre, then 3l then 4l and finally 5l and hes go them parked in the wrong order LOL
  2. the electronic throttle makes the mark 4 feel alot lighter - you were probably used to your mark 3 where you have to press harder to get it going - i felt the same when going from a mark 3 to 4. make sure there are no advisories on the MOT sheet - suspension bushes on the rear are costly due to the labour involved
  3. I will go back to LS400 as soon as i find a good one with the right price. Tried to change the passenger side HID bulb on LS430 it's a complete nightmare.. all these gadgets and extras are very nice, but i want MK4 LS400 back :) ha ha - youre not the only one - it took me a good 6 months to finally keep my 430 - 2 years ago i even bought a 400 - spend some money on it to maake it pristine and in the end decided to keep - it was a long hard decision - but ive got used to it - but my heart does melt when i see a nice 400 - they just look too good - good luck
  4. hi pepe sorry to hear you have a problem with your ls400 just to rule out any battery gremlins i would do a disconnect and reconnect. if no luck then have a look at this video:
  5. thats a very good price - all the best and dont forget to come on the forum
  6. is it just me or has anyone else noticed that alot of the 430s for sale especially the older ones tend to be abused examples - the 400s on the other hand even though older tend to be more tidier
  7. your warrranty paid dividend because thats some expensive jobs there
  8. in the early 430s the coolant and transmission oil are prone to mixing due to the design of the radiator-oil cooler - i would check you fluid levels and/or get this properly checked by a garage.
  9. Mines an earlier one but seems to work fine, very useful sometimes. I have noticed however that I need to get the keys out of my pocket to get in the house which is a bit of a drag. What side is the off switch, just in case it plays up? lol - if only lexus took up house building........................ hang on theres a downside - we wont know the difference between the car and sofa in the lounge! the button is located on the drivers side below the boot pull
  10. engine coolant temperature sensor? although havent noticed many complaints here but in the USA the guys change this part alot: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400/377171-diy-coolant-temperature-sensor-change-pics.html
  11. i have noticed you guys have the earlier 430s - mines a facelift and has never caused any problems and works a treat everytime perhaps its just the early 430s with this complaint. the actual sensor is on the inside of the door handle and mine usually unlocks before i have had a chance to fully grasp the handle
  12. if you want to speed thins up you can ring them and pay over the phone without having to wait for the letter you just need the tracking number
  13. hi try turning the system on and off - its a round black button located near the drivers side knee and make sure the inside of the handle is clean becuase thats where the sensor is
  14. so it appears they fit the mark 4 and not the mark 3 the seller has ended the listing also
  15. yes thats the company i used are they not the self adhesive ones whee you have to cut your bulb holder off and join the wire? i bought something similar off ebay when i had mark 4 and decided not to fit them because of the wire cutting?
  16. the amp is located inside the the rear drivers side wing to remove you need to go through the boot remove the plastic panel around the boot lock remove the panel behind the rear light cluster you should now see the amp it is held by 2 nuts plus 2 umbrella type cream gromets which you need to pinch to release the amp the connectors are straight forward and self explanatory i actually seperated the rear parking camera gubbins and plugged them back in so that i had a working reverse camera whilst the amp was being repaired. my car has 120k on it. my repair was done by SVT services in edinburgh costing £285 inc return postage hope this helps
