  1. Welcome Robin. Same colour as mine, although I do prefer your wheels. Enjoy your new car.
  2. I use TuneIn radio, Apple Music, and occasional BBC iPlayer radio app. Cannot live without streaming media these days. It must be over 12 months since I last even touched a CD, with the amount of music now on offer via streaming services, I don't even bother with my own iTunes music collection - I do love all you can eat data on '3' - Getting through about 2-3 gigs of data a month :) I can tell that I'm getting/am old, all of this goes screaming above my head!!!!
  3. Forgot to mention in my first post that I was in EcoMode for all of the journey back home. Terry, have you got a ready available link to the thread that you mention. Don't worry if not, I'll do a search. Many thanks.
  4. Hello folks, just got back from my sons wedding in Cyprus and so am catching up with what's been going on here. Just thought that I would mention my MPG on the trip back from Bournemouth airport. I set off home at about 01.30am and travelled mostly on the A31, A35 and the A30 and, as you can imagine, there was not much traffic on the road at all, I probably saw a couple of dozen cars in total and so very very quiet. I suppose that my speed varied between 50 and 70 mph but, I was quite surprised at the figure of 45.6 mpg that I achieved. I thought that it might have been somewhat higher than that. I'm not displeased with the figure, just thought it might have been more. The overall distance was about 90 miles. Any thoughts?
  5. I'll be interested in any replies to this as it bugs me too!
  6. Have a look at the link below. This is what I did in my 06 IS250 and it worked a treat. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore, someone bought it off me. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/70947-diy-bluetooth-music-streaming-using-a2dp/ Hope this helps you.
  7. Haven't heard of this Smart Repair Insurance. Haven't been offered it by Lexus, Do they sell it or just endorse it? So the questions are - where from and how much please? Many thanks.
  8. I started a thread yesterday entitled " I want one" and now it has disappeared, anyone know why? It generated some funny replies and there might have been more to come, can't think why it disappeared though.
  9. Very, very, very, very nice indeed. Welcome to the club Allen. Lots of friendly people on here with lots of advice and help. I've never been to Ireland, my father-in-law was from Dublin though. I've heard that the fishing is good too. I also remember a song, something to do with Galway Bay I think, beautiful country. I'm waffling on now aren't I, sorry!! Anyway, a BIG WELCOME to you
  10. I've never driven anything that powerful, would love to have a go though. The car looks really good, I'm sure you will get a great deal of pleasure from it. I'm pretty sure that I have seen one around my area.
  11. I've taken the two year warranty plan which will kick-in when the manufacturers warranty runs out at the end of December 2016, so plenty of peace of mind there for me. I seem to remember paying something like £795.00 for that which also includes full roadside recovery for the Lexus and any other car we might be in. I thought that was pretty good, being covered up until the end of December 2018.
  12. Just wondering about the alarm system on my car. I am off on holiday shortly and my car will be parked up on my drive for one week. If for any reason the alarm should go off, anyone have any ideas how long it will blast my neighbours ears for before it runs out of power and becomes silent again? On the occasion that my battery ran low, I had a telephone call at 2am from 'Tracker' to say that they had received an alert on their system and "was everything OK?" I will probably phone them beforehand to tell them that I'm away. I have to admit that this is a constant niggle in the back of my mind. It is highly likely I suppose, that nothing will happen but, you never can tell.
  13. Absolutely crackin motor. Don't I just love those wheels eh!!!! The one thing I don't like about mine is the wheels.
  14. Here you go para999, this is the one that I bought, does the job just fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XXL-size-SPARE-TYRE-COVER-WHEEL-COVER-TYRE-BAG-COVER-BAG-FOR-ANY-CAR-/390811078486?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5afe27cf56&clk_rvr_id=889162591541&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true
  15. I purchased my wheel cover from eBay and it's perfect for the job. I'll see if I can find a link to it for you
  16. I am constantly being asked "how did you manage to scratch your car" and, when I first anxiously said where where? they would reply "here on the rear door". It was then that I realised that it was the protectors. Now if anyone says it. I stll have a look just in case, but with a little less anxiety!
  17. OK Edward, just as soon as it stops pouring down with rain I will try to get you some piccys. Probably won't be today though, tis black as hell round here at the moment!
  18. Will go and check mine immediately, I'm with Aviva too!!
  19. I've had the mud flaps fitted, I like them and I don't think that they spoil the lines of the car. They do stop a lot of the muck too!
  20. That protector looks very nice but where on earth do they get their prices from!!!! £120.00 for what appears to be a strip of self adhesive plastic........wow!
  21. Yes my car is already equipped with a jack. Yes, wheel and tyre.
  22. Apologies, I should have said that I use AR6200 (not AR6400) at every fill-up.
  23. I use AR6400 at every fill-up, without fail.
