  1. Shame about the date, i'll be in California!

    Would have been interested myself.

A shame Keith, but I bet you will enjoy California :) now I am jealous lol, we shall try and make a September meeting.

I'm still in, meeting in the multi storey same place as last time? (still gutted I was parked 50ft away from you lot last time and didn't know)

Perfect Matt :) I will pass on my number to all of you via PM a couple of days before the meet date so we can coordinate better.

I am nervous as the GS300 MOT expires 14th of June, I will book it for a retest before then, but my ABS intermitent problem worries me. The lights are off now... but who know if they come on at the MOT test lol ... I will be the only Lexus owner at the meeting without a Lexus!!!! lol

  2. I am planning tomorrow to remove the sensor and put in the torch inspect the teeth while I rotate the wheel.

It just seems strange that two different ABS sensors and the same problem still exists.

Fingers crossed it will be something stuck in there ... and once taken out it will fix my problem.

    Let's see .... :)

  3. Hello guys,

Ongoing problems with the ABS / Brakes on my GS300 (s2)

Since we bought the car more less a year now, there has been an over sensitive ABS ... around 15mph, likes to engadge and either think to put on the ABS or the TCS. If you accelerate past that speed the car is perfect with no problems.

The brake pump unit has been replaced. Since then plugged in a snap on readed and showed the the R Rear speedsensor has signals problems.

I though thar RR would be the driver side rear??? OS side.

So ordered a used hub with a compete sensor on it ... removed the sensor from the used hub, and installed it on my car. Exactly the same symptoms as before. ... 15mph and the ABS/TCS goes crazy.

Any ideas? has anyone else experienced the problem?

    Cheers

    Vasilis.

  4. ouch well they were expensive... lol

They were the Eibach sportline and they did cost me about £290 or £300+ for all 4 cannot remember exactly.

As I paid a deposit to start with and then .... paid the rest almost 3 months after when they arrived.

Eibach could not get an order directly so they guided me to one of their suggested retailers and I placed the order via them.

  5. They might ask you to mask the peak sport on the lights, the problem is that the 1st gen of IS, don't use the projector lights the newer models have, so I think they might require a beam cut off tape, or change of the lights.

They might not be as strict as VOSA is ... so they might find them ok ;)

  6. The shock absorbers and the rear springs are different to the sportcross than the saloon IS300.

When I was trying to buy springs for my IS300 sportcross to lower, I had to have a special order with Eibach and wait for 3 months for the springs to arrive from Eibach USA as a special order from Eibach UK.

The codes were unique to the sportcross.

I would strongly suggest you to have a good tracking with WIM... as mine was all over the place when I bought the car, once I done an all around laser tracking, the car was transformed. But WIM know how to use their equipement. Unlike some popular chains that have no idea on how to use the settings.
