  1. This is a very tidy example and a none inflated honest price . https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202103019602374
  2. Maybe roof not locked in correctly or it’s malfunction 🤔
  3. I don’t mind that colour and it’s unusual.....and by the look of the photo it has a light and airy interior 😉 90k on the clock and not a bad mot history 👍🏻
  4. Retail money should be around £11k but as they don’t come along very often it’s a sellers market . Observations....it’s got Dunlop’s all round but one is a sports maxx and the other 3 sports 2030’s so that needs to be matched up. the SC430 needs to be serviced every year so it should have 15 stamps in the book, dealer is calling it full service history with 9 stamps 🙄 Body looks good as do the wheels , interior also looks very good.....so it’s all down to if the dealer will budge on the price .He sold SC430’s in the past so he knows their value .
  5. To be totally unbiased on the subject ..as I understand it the road tax could be around the £280 a year for imports, compared with U.K pre 21st March 2006 being £330 and after that date £550 😳 would I buy an import ..yes if it was a colour and trim combination not sold over here and the price was right .
  6. This subject was recently discussed on the Lexus World forum,(got a little heated when a trader selling imports got involved with the discussion !) ... the General consensus was imports are not as good as uk cars with exception of the condition underneath. Differences and items needing attention..... 1 Speedometer will be in kph 2 Rear fogs/rear bumper 3 Speed 112 mph delimiter/ECU 4 Radio frequencies not the same as U.K bands 5 Sat Nav in Japanese 6 Headlamp washers/front bumper missing 7 Number plates The Singapore model will have not satnav fitted and can suffer corrosion to electrical/ electronic items due to the high humidity in that country. Japanese imports can have some of the items change or adapted to U.K spec at a cost, most of those currently for sale here are already expensive that’s before conversion work is done . The general rule with imports is only buy if it’s a vehicle that is not sold in the U.K...lots of SC430 available just maybe not this time of year.
  7. I see it’s sold now anyone on here bought it ?
  8. I tend to watch all the SC430’s for sale and this one caught my eye the other week...... https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202012237360874
  9. It’s happening then....the modding has started 😉😉
  10. How do you get on with the touch screen for the heating and air/con...not something I’ve had in a car before ?
  11. Neil you’ll have to give me the link to track other cars....will add it to my system 😉😉
  12. Might be Cashmere going by the brochure above 🤔
  13. Think tan leather is a bit more forgiving than Rutland ....wonder if that company does a touch up dye for tan, say tan it must have a more correct name 🤔
  14. What’s it like underneath 😁😁
  15. That’s a stunning and very rare motor you have there Neil .....I like colour and trim😎😎
  16. WD40 is all you need in the glovebox to keep a SC430 on the road ! 😁
  17. WD40 worked for me with a drivers side mirror not folding, sprayed behind mirror also the swivel joint.
  18. I have the same one Sly...not put it to the test yet but with 4 vehicles on the drive not being used...come end of lockdown it will surely be needed 👍🏻 As others have said they do make less powerful models but I have a diverse range of vehicles ...diesel van to 1.0 Aygo so plumpt for the biggest.
  19. Any OBD2 reader will work on a 2002 SC430 if you just want to read faults codes.
  20. Seeing the reg number and looking it up on the DVLA mot site , the recent failure sheet makes very poor reading and could cost thousands to fix ☹️
  21. See you’ve sorted it now ..... I’ve rebuilt my calipers on a previous SC430, had them off down the shed and stripped out pistons etc, I use a vacuum style of system to remove all the air. I’m taking it you clamped off the flexible hoses behind the calipers and didn’t let the master cylinder run dry ?, with 3 corners still clamped off start with furthest caliper from master cylinder . My vacuum bleeder in an engine oil draining device with a clear hose so I can see the bubble sucking through the clear pipe. (This photos is my current RAV4 bleeding the brakes ) With the device drawing the brake fluid out I just needed to stand and watch the Master cylinder empty, (not need to pump the brake pedal)... with occasional looks back at the Caliper to see if it’s just fluid come out and not bubbles, then lock nipple up , repeat the process on the other 3 corners of the car.
  22. Out of 6 or 7 members helping with Paul’s request for a car only 2 or 3 have voiced an opinion on the U turns, as I said it tricky when you’re not restricted on price and several cars come up at once, for me the pale blue one ticked all the boxes . I’m sure other cars will come along over the winter months 👍🏻👍🏻
  23. Paul what’s the next move in finding a car, hopefully the advise gathered so far will make you a little wiser in buying an SC430 👍🏻👍🏻
