  1. Great to see your SC430 get much love and attention 👍🏻
  2. Once you’ve done all those jobs..you’ll be an SC expert 👍🏻
  3. Ive seen dozens and dozens of SC owners come through the Lexus forums, and you have been more unlucky than most☹️ Maybe once this job is fix you can get some pleasure out of it during the summer. Double edge sword….. unusual colour so could get good money in the summer months, or keep it until autumn and prices could drop.
  4. You’re in too deep now with the exhaust and stuff to bail out now 👍🏻
  5. Well the SACHS ones I listed above also fit the GS430 2001-2005, and this Bilstein fits the same GS430. Just make sure you can return them if they don’t fit 👍🏻
  6. Russell I’m sure there are YouTube clip on how to replace the valve under the manifold …being a Lexus I’m sure it will come apart easily 👍🏻
  7. Do you need front or rear shocks Philip ?
  8. Sadly early and late SC’s shocks are different, not by much but the way the spring seats is a difference diameter. It’s possible to cross reference part numbers from the States, that’s what I had to do for the early shock absorbers….or just have a spend up with Lexus 👍🏻
  9. Front shocks on my first SC had no leaks but felt soft going over speed humps. Fitted a pair of Sachs shocks, made so much positive difference 👍🏻 That car only had 60k on the clock .
  10. Body kit is an acquired taste 👍🏻
  11. I’m in the clear as well with a euro 3 2005 petrol RAV4, what the silver haired weasel might do is change the goalposts, so in a few years down the line we might all be in trouble ! .
  12. I ordered a set from the States when I got my last SC430….Sadly I let them go with the car in 2019. Think they cost around £195 plus shipping .
  13. Here you go…. https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/
  14. All SC430’s are compliant with the ULEZ requirements. Go onto the ULEZ site and type in your registration details 👍🏻
  15. That looks like a dinner plate trim that has been cut up around the slots….that’s a cheap option for sure.
  16. Lexus would be your first choice that will fit correctly. This is another option but check the size is the same or similar to what you have 👍🏻 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273715363803
  17. Yes the ivory trim is called RUTLAND, on the chassis plate under TR, I t’s code is AL00 .
  18. Extra note for other SC owners, not compatible with facelift model ..or rather can’t find any cross reference for the facelift ☹️☹️
  19. Sachs 280875 fits…… https://www.buyautoparts.com/buynow/75-06632_sz
  20. Done a bit of homework for you, this listing states Sachs 280875, will fit G300 and SC430…. https://www.buyautoparts.com/buynow/75-06632_sz Se here is a UK eBay listing for them… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134087280166
  21. I fitted GS300 front shocks to my 2003 SC430 back in 2016. had to cross reference the numbers on eBay USA, then look the part number up in the U.K…sorry forgot the number ☹️
  22. Two options spring to mind around my way….Toyota/Lexus specialist https://www.tech-one.co.uk/ or Lexus Sidcup👍🏻
  23. The SC430 does suffer from surface corrosion to rear subframe and the boot floor area and does need to be inspected when buying . As these cars are get older the boot floor to subframe areas will rot and and then need welding .This could well finish off some cars, as the cost to remove subframe by a garage could be huge. Lots of rust prevention products on the market to keep rust at bay, always buy the best condition car you can ….if the rear subframe looks like it’s about to drop off …then walk away .
