  1. Plenty of wheels on eBay 👍🏻
  2. Old type would have been easier to maintain ☹️
  3. The Lexus website is rubbish, I took my last car in to get the airbag done ..yet their website says it’s still an outstanding recall 🙄 my new SC430 has a Lexus recipe to say it’s been done 👍🏻
  4. Owners that love their cars, have carpet on the wall by the door 😉😉
  5. Weather was on my side today, so had a look at a few jobs . water leak in boot..strip out all the trim and mark suspect areas with chalk…if water washes the chalk away that’s the place to start looking. side repeater lens loose, I will glue back on but also look for a replacement…good old Lexus fits this to multiple models …Is250, is350, GS300/430. I noted the date on the tyre sealer…it’s still liquid, wonder if it would now work. will look up a replacement bottle at some point.
  6. Pull the pipe off the washer jets..see if it squirts out water …think the pipe is on the right hand side of the bonnet hinge. if there is muck in the washer bottle it could have clogged the jets .
  7. Take it the clock time is wrong or did you get back home with it a 8.19am 😮😮
  8. Congratulations on your new purchase…..well I say they ..not seen any evidence of it being in your garage yet 😉
  9. I asked about classic insurance ..they said 2007 was too young . you’ll have to give me the details of the company 👍🏻👍🏻
  10. M25 friday before Christmas… best take something to read ! 😉
  11. A seller of a SC430 on eBay said he had the belt his done at Lexus and cost £800, so that is a figure to beat at an independent garage .
  12. Lexus parts direct ,seem to have different prices for years of the SC430… The one on my 2007 model done at Lexus was £233.00 for the parts .
  13. ….the forum suddenly goes very quite !😁😁
  14. If he had put all the original badges back on and removed the aftermarket one, it would look more genuine.…and don’t show the low down shot of the exhaust . First impression are very important…if a buyer doesn’t like the look of the photo's, he’s not going to make that first call.
  15. ..other job was fitting a pair of boot gas struts, got them off Adam breaking a SC430 on this forum . Wouldn’t have bother with used but they were new from Lexus a short while ago, then his car got written off .
  16. Sadly since the launch of the SC430, they all have plastic lenses. Early cars headlamps polish up better, the facelift model gets UV damage deeper into the plastic….if you want your car looking mint ..it’s buy a new pair at £1250.00 the pair 😮😮
  17. Used a very fine wirewool with metal polish 👍🏻
  18. Some days are just right for polishing 😎 headlamps both a little discoloured at the top and the tailpipes had never touched ! Bit of metal polish and fine wire wool it’s taken 15 years off them .
  19. As an ex-mot tester I can say that its all about the mot tester covering himself …you can’t fail what you can’t see ! yet there could be a corroded hole under many of the plastic covered modern cars undersides . So by writing..underbelly pans fitted…the tester has covered his arse 👍🏻
  20. That low exhaust wouldn’t last 5mins in my area of suburban London …speed humps/ speed platforms etc 😳😳
  21. Time to see a few photos of what you might be selling Neil 👍🏻 ..or put your YouTube build video up 👍🏻👍🏻
  22. I tried classic insurance with my latest SC, being a 2007 they just laughed ! Think the quote came back at over £700 ! My current insurance came up trumps with multi cover at £165 😎
