  1. If prices are on the up …we are both laughing all the way to the bank 😎
  2. Its good you’re getting out to see the standard of cars available, and why some have been for sale for so long .
  3. The KALAHARI SAND one is also down that way….make a weekend and blitz all the London area cars 👍🏻
  4. Had a good amount of mechanical work done .. "A face-lift MK2 SC430. Superior to the MK1. Comes with all the Lexus extras including the silky smooth 6 speed auto with manual change option. Covered 160000 miles so it’s basically just run in. ▶️. .Recently had discs, pads, tyres, 4 genuine Denso O2 sensors, 4 new genuine KYB shock absorbers, rear ABS rings.◀️ Owned for the last 3 years and hardly ever used. It comes in at the cheaper tax bracket being a 06 plate. Number plate not included. Everything works apart from the electric aerial. HPI clear. It does have marks on the bodywork but its entry level price for a face-lift. Use it and tinker at weekends."
  5. For me and Steve it was the hunt and then getting the price down ….i paid £3500 less than the dealers asking price .
  6. Well the 57plate brown ‘Conker’ 136k SC430 it no longer listed on Auto Trader, so someone has worked on that logic it’s worth a punt at £6995.00 👍🏻👍🏻
  7. Event Potentem UHP 😮😮
  8. I’d rather KALAHARI SAND than Silver….rare to see another for sure 👍🏻
  9. The tyres were advised at 9k but didn’t fail until the next mot at 13233 miles . These cars are common to wear tyres on the inner edges on the front, I suspect at some point during a service the worn front tyres got swapped to the rear ..then good rears to front . i doubt it’s a London car just being sold by a London dealer …probably bought from auction from another part of the Uk. exhaust tailpipes are not original , so maybe just tailpipe or exhaust change . front bumper colour looks off but needs to be seen in daylight to be sure. Last taxed expired Aug 2023 so they’ve had it a long time for sale ….im sure there is a deal to be had …..and the colour name is KALAHARI SAND 👍🏻
  10. You’re a good lad 😉 only had 3 owners that’s a plus. As to outstanding finance I’m guessing the dealer doesn’t own his stock and is financed until sold. Phone number is there so give them a call to check what’s going on .
  11. Vehicle does look a tidy example, observations ..a closer look at the service book it has 3 stamps missing 2015,2018 and 2023. headlamps and seats a little discoloured with age . Some water staining in the boot area and mould on the roller cover …so possible leaks in boot. The blue one they are also selling although a better colour combination but has more wear on the seats and also discolours headlamps. Has black plastic wheel rim protectors , normally means rims scuffed already . both cars have been for sale for many months so price should be negotiable. Both cars need to be inspected for underbody corrosion, especially around the rear brake hubs, as the ABS reluctors ring wear is becoming common. Like I say just observations not trying to be negative. What do you think of the champagne coloured example on Auto Trader…looks outstanding 👍🏻
  12. As others have said …with trading standards rights you get 30 days to reject a car with no reason at all. Go back to dealer and state you are rejecting the vehicle and require a full refund …that should force their hand to fix all faults .
  13. Found it..this is what I read on here last year … "Most space savers will not fit on the front. If you puncture on the front, replace with a rear, and put the saver on the rear. Not ideal, but it would get you moving temporarily." 👍🏻👍🏻
  14. Yes it should do but check before you go on your travels 👍🏻
  15. Does it fit any better the other way around ? That’s how I fitted mine 👍🏻 Also check it fits front and back wheel position.
  16. Got out to a New Year’s Day car show, it was Brooklands museum in Surrey . They had a classic and also a later sports car section. Got a bit sidetracked with the aircraft museum 😎
  17. Looks like it’s all going to plan …well done👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve watched Grand Designs since it first started, not sure if the programme encourages owner to take the leap ..or keep well away ! problems have ranged from, money, planning, window or roofing delays, unhelpful neighbours, covid, baby on the way, marriage difficulties..builders done a runner etc ! Hopefully you’ve not encountered any of them 👍🏻👍🏻 looking forward to seeing the finished home very soon 😉
  18. Took a look at the sat/nav disk today…it’s the original from 2007 ! lucky I have a Tomtom for reliable directions 😉
  19. Well your boot will be full of luggage so you may as well have a space save wheel . Or are you planning luggage on back seat and have the roof down ?
  20. Hope you guys all had a good Christmas 👍🏻
  21. Back up camera through the sat/sav display was a popular option a few years back with SC drivers….cheaper option …..use mirrors ! 😂😂👍🏻
  22. I guess I have the same make as yours if dealer fitted….they also don’t work !..maybe it’s an age thing. unit is a scorpion SPS9040 and mine was tucked up behind the boot lining near the o/s back light . (I did find a used unit on eBay but could well be a dud as well). i have an after market kit here and if I can get the outer sensors off through the fog lamp hole, I will set up a two sensor system. Other option remove bumper..not difficult just fiddly.
  23. The bolt fixing are the same for facelift and non-facelift so Meisters should fit all. its the standard spring/shocks that are different on the two models , facelift had more tapered springs at the bottom, so not interchangeable with the older model .
