  1. I used Car Wow for my NX and I got an amazing deal. The best Car Wow price happened to be my local dealer which was perfect for me.
  2. I remember back in the old days when my Father would work on my cars and adjust the tracking, he always stressed the importance of making measurement/adjustments equal on each side to ensure the steering wheel was always pointing straight ahead. I know things have moved on since then, but I would think similar principles would still apply? He could always tell how I had been driving by just feeling the tread on my tyres, I couldn't get away with anything... those were the days 😆
  3. Oh my goodness, that looks scary, you're a braver man than me 😆
  4. Very nice Don, glad the dealer came up with a deal that worked for you. I like the speed warning it’s very discrete. Not sure if the UX is the same, but I didn’t realise on my NX how much the rear wheels are used, I thought it was just when extra grip was needed. If I have the All Wheel Drive display up you can see the rear wheels are working when initially pulling away then stop once up to a certain speed. Can the Speedo be configured to display all the speed limits as I would want to see 30, 50, 70 etc Think I would just have the large digital speed as that is what I have been used to for so many years Good news about the fuel consumption too, I am amazed at what mine does, so yours must be even better.
  5. Thank you 😃 It’s amazing how quickly you get used to letting the car start the braking. I have had the odd time where it wants to start braking for a car parked on a kerb in an otherwise empty road, but it’s easy enough to override it.
  6. Proactive Drive Assist was one of the first things I enabled and I love it. It’s kinds of like a smarter version of regenerative braking and I find I use the brake pedal even less than I did before in my Prius. A small image of a car appears in the instrument cluster when it detects a preceding car. Once it gets to a very low speed it disengages and the braking is over to you it emergency brake assist if you don’t brake You are able to easily override it when it detects something that is not directly in your driving path by either steering braking of apply the throttle.
  7. I don’t like the hold facility as you have to pull against the brakes when you drive off which often results in the engine starting. I prefer to gently pull away smoothly without the jolt.
  8. Also, when you create your password don't have too many special characters as it can be a bit fussy. I successfully created a long complex password, but just used @ as the special character as advised by another member.
  9. That equates to 40 psi vs 33 psi, that is a huge increase and is roughly what my NX pressures were at when I picked it up. Lowering to recommend pressure made a big difference.
  10. Ahh that must be new for the 300h. Good idea as it’s nice to have the larger screen.
  11. Interesting that Ireland gets the larger screen on the ‘Design’, we only get the smaller one. The larger screen is only on Premium Plus upwards from what I remember.
  12. Your dealer is correct, F Sport ‘Design’ has the external look of the F Sport without the firmer suspension setup of the full F Sport. The ‘Design’ also does not have the F Sport seats or larger multi media screen of the full F Sport. Have you done the obvious and checked the tyre pressures are correct as stated on the door plate? as dealer love to over inflate them. My tyres were way over pressure when I picked it up and lowering them made a big difference.
  13. I do not have the plug-in, but I have 235/60 R18 tyres and run then at the pressures stated on the door plate - 2.3 bar or 33 psi. When I collected the car the pressures were near 40PSI, so I immediately dropped them and the improvement in ride was marked. With these pressures I regularly get over 50MPG, sometimes much higher, so I do not need higher pressures just to get better economy figures.
  14. I thought about getting one for my NX as other markets have the AWD badge, but I didn't want to risk my insurance classing it as a 'modification', slim I know, but may be worth checking?
  15. I heard one backing up at my local dealer last week and my goodness the pedestrian warning sound was loud. I think they have done what they have done with the Toyotas now .... one sounder at the front at normal volume for Drive, but when reverse is selected the volume is increased dramatically. I was concerned coming from my Prius which was a 2017 with no pedestrian warning sound which I preferred, to a new NX with the warning sound, but fortunately the NX has a sounder at the front for Drive and one at the back for Reverse and they are both a fairly low level... loud enough, but not blaring loud, I actually quite like it now.
  16. Glad you are sorted 😊. I realised after I made my post that you have the touch sensitive buttons, so what I said may not have been immediately obvious. I am glad I have the physical buttons being Premium and not Premium Plus spec.
  17. May be obvious question, but have you checked you are on adaptive cruise control mode (right hand button), then set the speed with the left hand button? Both on right hand side steering wheel buttons.
  18. Yes that is correct. When they are tilted you can adjust them to how you like and that position will be remembered. They return to normal position once D is selected. I believe this can be turned off in settings, but I find it really useful.
  19. When I was looking at a used 2019 UX Takumi a while back that did not have Apple Car Play, they said they would honour the upgrade FOC as it was a free upgrade when the offer was initially introduced if I was to go ahead with my purchase.
  20. If the car has been serviced at main Lexus dealer you will automatically get another years warranty. Although the ‘Relax’ warranty is not as comprehensive as the initial warranty, I would like to hope it would covered… worth a phone call 🤔
  21. After my earlier post stating that I have not yet got a 'Full' battery in my NX like I used to in my Prius, yesterday I did. Unlike my Prius it didn't start the engine just as I drove into the garage to spin off any excess energy. Its interesting that the NX seems to keep its battery pretty much 50-75% full the majority of the time, there is a lot less, so far of dropping down to 2 bars and the engine kicking in to top it back up. I know the NX has a different battery chemistry which must be more efficient, plus I didn't realise until I looked at the display, but the rear wheels regenerate too which must help.
  22. That seems odd, my NX shows the same on the car and in the App. The App shows the per trip information, which should read the same as the 'after start' reading at the end of each journey .... Maybe you are looking at the overall figure?
  23. Very nice. The first thing I did when I got home was pull off the stickers on the door releases 🫣
  24. As @ColinBarber says, when the battery shows full the engine will spin not using any fuel acting as an air pump to help slow the car and to help spin off some excess energy. If you put the car in N going down a hill you will really appreciate how much regen slows the car as without it the car just keeps on going. Not advised obviously as you are not charging the HV battery, but very useful to clean off your brake discs if they are getting a bit rusty. The times I had a full battery when I got home, the engine would often come on and I would wait for it to stop and by then it had dropped one bar from the full mark. It had done its job.
  25. That is perfectly normal. I have just come from a 2017 Prius that I had from new, so 7 years old when I sold it. That would only ever show a 'Full' battery after a motorway journey, then a long decent down a hill to our home. So far I have not seem my NX show a full battery, just one below. Thing to remember is that although the battery gauge may show 'Full', it is actually only around 80% full, the same when it's low, it is not that low in reality. Toyota/Lexus reserve a portion of the battery at the top and bottom that is not visible to us, this helps protect the battery and ensure its longevity. I hope this puts your mind at ease 🙂
