  1. According to my earlier post and below screenshot from the manual, it can be turned off, but only by the dealer. Hope they sort it for you.
  2. Pert, I will do it wet as planned 😊 Thanks
  3. Yes, that is correct, no adjustments to the cars interface can be made through the App.
  4. Interesting comment there Colin about thinner PPF needing to be wet applied. Recently my rear bumper protection film got damaged on my NX, just a small nick off the lower edge, but enough for me to want to replace it. It was part of the Protection Pack when ordering the car, which I understand are added at the distribution centre along with the mudflats, boot liner etc. I ordered the OEM part and am going to install it myself using the wet method, but are you saying that the factory ones do not need to be wet applied or are the ones on the doors applied at the factory and the 'pack' ones are distribution centre? If not wet applied how do I install it with no bubbles? I don't think I am hi-jacking this thread, but if I am, please feel free to move it. Thanks.
  5. Just checked the online LBX manual and it looks like you can disable as per below…. I think it’s a B, so maybe dealer only. Not sure why a dealer would need to do it when I can do it so simply from my media unit. Winder if anyone else has had any joy?
  6. Hopefully it should be in the same place as my NX as below, it is quite buried in the menu . Vehicle > Customise > Utility = Rear seat reminder - (Top item) Hope this helps 😊
  7. Mine has been fine the last few days. I have done a lot of trotting around today and all of my trips have recorded. Throughout the period of downtown I never had any issue error messages on my media screen, just intermittent recorded trips and not being able to lock/unlock via the app (not that I ever use that function). Guess it depends on which server you log on to maybe, but who knows 🤔
  8. I bough the following from Amazon in 2018 and although I have never used it on my cars I have helped out a few others with it including 2.0 litre diesel Golfs. Suaoki U3 Jump Starter Car Booster 400A Peak Current with Intelligent Only cost £30.00, so I wouldn’t discount ones on Amazon although I notice the above is not listed now as it was 4 years ago.
  9. That is normal, it’s literally is just a message to check rear seats. This can be turned off in settings via the media screen. It was one of the first things I did as I never carry rear passengers.
  10. You have to remember it is a Hybrid and not an EV, therefore not designed to run for a long time on electric like a fully electric car. The Hybrid system is to aid performance and cut emissions, the fact that it will run with the engine off for short periods of time is a bonus. The car will determine the best time for the engine to be off and run on electric, just let the car do its thing and all will be good. Trying to force it to run on electric will be detriment to your economy as the engine will need to come on for longer periods of time to charge it 😊.
  11. Then to me, if the noise goes when you brake then it could be the pads/discs making the noise due to surface rust build up as suggested by @Don C My suggestion of putting the car in N and doing some long firm depressions on the brakes may help to clear it. I used to do this on my Prius as the brakes would start to squeak due to lack of use as the car used regen braking most of the time. Looking at your profile it says your UX is 2020 which I think is when the pedestrian alert noise sounder (UFO noise) was added. This activates when the engine (ICE) is off and the car is travelling under 15-18mph. Also, just to clarify, you say EV mode, but do you just mean when the car automatically slips in silent running i.e. engine off and little green car with showing EV in the instrument cluster? EV mode is when you use the physical EV button on the centre console. This is primarily for moving the car without the ICE starting. I use it to take the car out of the garage when I wash it. I hope this helps.
  12. I too thought about that, but I believe it does it even going faster, but not sure what that speed is? The pedestrian noise goes off at 15mph I think 🤔
  13. Does the noise go when you brake firmly (to ensure you are using friction braking and not regen)? If so that could point to discs/pads as @Don C has suggested. Another way to ensure you are using friction brakes is to put the car in N, that disables regen braking and gives you full friction braking.
  14. You will find that unlike a lot of other plug in Hybrids, the Toyota/Lexus system still retains a portion of the traction battery for hybrid driving as @Tickedon mentions. This effectively makes it pretty much as efficient as the standard 350h. Therefore you are not lugging around a useless empty battery, it is in fact still fully functional as the standard non plug in version.
  15. My lights arrived yesterday and I am really pleased with them. Only took 10 days to arrive and worked out to a smidge over £30. They are very bright and sharp too. Thanks again to @Fusspot for the recommendation 👍
  16. I just leave mine in Normal and I still get amazing economy. All Eco does is change the throttle mapping to make it less sensitive. If you need all the beans, flooring the throttle overrides Eco and gives you full power. Plus you get the Eco light in the instrument cluster as you say. In my Prius putting it into Eco also put the AC into Eco mode too. Not sure if the NX does this, but I have mine set to Eco in the climate settings.
  17. I seem to be experiencing the same pattern as others… I never return from my journeys 😆 However, I notice my journey home from friends last night recorded OK and status updated at 00:03 when I got home, but this time it didn’t record the journey there. Hopefully both my trips will record tomorrow when I go out ….
  18. Think I will wait a bit longer before I resort to that. I have so many tweaks it takes ages to set it all back up. It’s a shame there is no dedicated back up of settings as every time I have reset in the past, when I first got the car, there were always some things it never remembered.
  19. My DCM is not illuminated, but the status has updated at 13:52 today and one of my trips from Friday is showing up. Seems to be all coming up gradually 👍
  20. My DCM is still greyed out, but oddly I am still getting notifications on the app for unlocked car etc….. EDIT: The status has updated at 13:52 today and one of my trips from Friday is showing up. 👍
  21. I have the similar, but never had to use since I bought it. The only thing I used during lockdown was a smart charger as that was extreme non-use of the car.
  22. Same here. I had my Prius for over seven years and never had an Issue with the 12v battery. I am a low mileage user too, the car only had 23,000 miles when I sold it and it still had the original 12v battery.
  23. My app still logs in etc. and shows ✅ for status, but last updated at 09:03 this morning after my trip to the shops, but due to the issue did not record the journey. I will be interested to see if the journeys are stored somewhere in the car and maybe uploaded when all is well again…. One can hope 🤔
  24. Lexus are currently having issues with one of their servers which has caused issues with the Lexus Link+ app over the last 48 hours or so. I would imagine your issue is connected to that. Lexus are aware and are working hard to rectify the issue.
