  1. Same here, I use the jump terminal on my NX to connect my smart charger when I go away on holiday and have had no issues.
  2. Yes, it was a bit of an ambiguous post 🤔
  3. On my NX I use a bolt on the suspension turret and that is nice and close to the positive point under the fuse cover. I use it for my smart charger when I go away on holiday of anything over a week which is pretty much all the time. I used a meter on various bolts and they all returned the same reading as the 'official' negative point which is on the opposite side to the fuse box where the positive point is.
  4. I know when I had my Prius, and I took it in for service during one of the lock downs, Toyota themselves were selling an OBD solar panels for around £90 IIRC. They were also using these on their cars outside too, so I would think they worked well enough to maintain the 12v batteries on their stock cars which would point to them being good for the general end user.
  5. It’s not just Toyota/Lexus hybrids, it is many manufacturers of hybrid and electric cars due to them using a small 12v battery as it only has to operate electronics and not grange over an ice. Back in 2015 I had a Renault Zoe and I often got low 12v battery warnings even though I used it every day.
  6. I would only ever buy from a main Lexus dealer for simple peace of mind. Much easier to get any possible issues sorted at a main dealer rather than by some trader. Buying from main dealer also gives you an immediate relationship with them rather than saying I bought this car from ‘X’ and it has issues please can you sort it - goodwill etc. I am risk adverse, so the choice is yours.
  7. I had my NX done for a discounted price as part of my deal. I’m not usually one for coatings, but I am very impressed with the Gen-3 coating I had applied. There was an additional leaflet states the product comes with a lifetime warranty. It included the interior protection too and kits for both exterior and interior maintenance. The car definitely stays cleaner for longer and when it rains the water just beads up and rolls off. After washing it is much easier to dry off too. I would definitely have it again.
  8. Have you ensured the mirror switch is either in the L or R position? If it’s in the ‘neutral’ position the mirrors will not fold.
  9. The UX is the 300h and the NX is the 350h
  10. I use the + point under the bonnet of my NX for my smart charger when I am holiday and have not experienced any alarm issues.
  11. I was set on buying a UX, but as you say it's getting on in years and has to be being replaced soon. The last thing I wanted was to be spending close on £50k for the Takumi only for it to be replaced in a years time. I ended up buying a brand new NX Premium with the Link Pro option for less than the UX and it feels like an awful lot of car for the money. Much more room and better ride and refinement.
  12. Plenty of manufacturers use piano black trim in their cars and that scratches if you look at it in the wrong way, so it’s not just limited to Lexus using fragile materials 😆 I use a ultra soft detailing brush for my dash and dials and that works a treat it’s wide, flat and angled so gets in all the nooks any crannies.
  13. I don’t know what’s more terrifying for me … the damage to the dash or going to a hand car wash place 🫣
  14. Sometimes after first registration it may log itself out a couple of times, but it should settle down afterwards. Also be careful with your password as it seems sensitive to too many special characters. It seems to only like one for the best experience.
  15. You're welcome, fingers crossed they can sort it for you. I am sure there are other LBX drivers who will be interested to hear the result.
  16. I would interpret that to mean run flats for run flats, so I would want further clarification unless that has already been established.
  17. As you are straying away from the standard specification of the car, I would definitely contact them... better to be safe than sorry. Changing to a different brand of run flats would be fine, but you are in essence taking away a safety element, so I would check. Personally if my NX had run flats I wouldn't change them for that reason, but luckily my 18's are standard tyres.
  18. I think I posted this in another thread as well, but according to page 565 of the LBX Manual it can be made available if first set up by a dealer as screen grabs below.
  19. As it is a padded material type, maybe some gentle leather cleaner? Try on an inconspicuous part first.....
  20. @AkioT The LBX does have the feature according to the manual, but it has to be first enabled by a dealer (also stated in the manual) Like you, it was the first thing I turned off when I got my NX
  21. Also, I think it was @Lisa 102 who mentioned a while back that she was told by her dealer the password does not like too many special characters. Since I changed by password to contain just the @ symbol as my special character the app has worked perfectly. The only time there was an issue since was when Lexus were upgrading their servers and the journey recordings were a bit sporadic, but once they had finished their update all my journey's appeared.
  22. Or put the key out of range, that’s what I do.
  23. If it's a smart charger like mine, it should auto-detect the battery type, but as Colin states it is standard flooded type.
  24. There are actually removable stickers on the internal releases that show how to pull them in the normal electric operation does not work. I took them off my NX once I got home as I found them unsightly.
