  1. How do you do this? Do you just do it overnight to stop them sticking or do they still work in the up position? Sorry for my ignorance!
  2. Thanks James. No snow down here to try it out but I got thinking about it this morning.
  3. I ended up having to sleep in in one night in the middle of nowhere when me and a friend decided to 'test' the walnut picnic tables out with a bottle of scotch! It had little chrome insets for the tumblers!
  4. My first car was an Austin 1300 Estate in a lurid purple with wooden side stripes! The VP was my second.
  5. I agree Geoff. Of all the cars I've had with climate control the Lexus is the most effective I have come across. I can set it to where I want it safely in the knowledge it'll keep me comfortable. I've also got my seat heating/ventilation set to auto which is great. It got me thinking about other cars I've had in the past. Many years ago I had a Vanden Plas 1300 Princess which didn't have AC let alone climate control. However, what it did have was the ability to have warm air to my feet and cold to my face. That was brilliant. Haven't sen that in any modern car!
  6. I agree entirely. Had a Ford once and after about three years old it looked worn. My old IS was 10 years old when I sold it and it still looked new inside except for slightly crinkly fronts seats. Not bad seeing as they been sat on for 100k miles! Hope the GS feels the same in seven years time.
  7. At the risk of sounding pedantic, wouldn't that defeat the object of it being 'auto'! ;-)
  8. To be honest I don't particularly think hands free is safe on today's congested roads!
  9. I agree Jay about it being a car and not a PC and to be honest wish it, or any other car come to that, should have this kind of connectivity. I believe the onset of mobile phones etc has made the roads more dangerous as people don't seem to concentrate on the road anymore!
  10. I had a slight wind noise on my Mk 2 IS which sounded like it was coming from the passenger door. It turned out to be coming from the windscreen seal which had not been replaced properly before I bought the car.
  11. You're not the Dan that works there are you????
  12. I'm beginning to wish I never asked this question! Am getting really confused. I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to technology. Apparently I've got a nexus 6p phone and I don't seem to be able to do what I want. Haven't a clue if it's a phone or car problem. Am beginning to think I wish I had kids!
  13. Thanks Peter, I'm not sure what a PBAP compatible Bluetooth®phone is! I think I'll just delete my phone and then reconnect to see if that works.
  14. Agree about Lexus Hedge End. Have always found them very helpful in purchasing and also in after sales. Their service section is particularly helpful.
  15. Thanks all. It all seems a bit complicated to me. I guess I can live without it!
  16. Sorry but I'm a bit of a luddite. That's all Greek to me!
  17. I've just checked that and they're still greyed out!
  18. Thanks Peter. According to that it should work with texts but I don't know how to set it up!
