I was waiting for the es to arrive as a possible replacement for my gs but have decided to keep the gs. It's been interesting reading all the objective views above but it just didn't feel special in the way that the gs does. There are subjective things I don't like about the es such as the dashboard and information screen but more importantly to me are the quality of the materials in the es and lesser feeling of luxury compared to the gs that put me off. Looks like I'm stuck with the gs for quite a while longer as I cannot think of another car I would rather have on the market at the moment until used latest ls's come into my price range!
I would never renew with any company that is prepared to lower there price once I inform them if that I can get it cheaper elsewhere. If they can't repect my 'loyalty' then I can't respect, or trust, them!
Transported a petrol bushcutter inside my gs by putting the front passenger seat fully forward and fully reclined and putting the wife in the rear seat behind me!
Don't know about imperial cars in Bristol but my experience of imperial cars in bursledon Hampshire was attrocious. Not sure if it's the same company but after sales is pathetic. The CT is a great car but would recommend getting from a Lexus dealer.
Maybe but my HUD shows other information such as rev counter/eco meter, radio stations and sat nav directions. Not only that but it's nice and neat looking.
This is an interesting point. I prefer the mouse thing on my GS to the touch screen on my old IS, even though I'm right handed. Maybe it's because I play guitar. I've always found it weird that all the complex twiddly bits are done with my left hand! Ask me to write something with my left hand or use a screwdriver and I'd be lost. Ask me to play the solo in stairway to heaven and I'd have no problems!
I had a new windscreen fitted by National Windscreens. They got a genuine Lexus windscreen from the local Lexus dealer and it has Lexus etched into it. However, it doesn't have the registration number etched into it. Check if yours has your registration number or vin number etched into it. If not then it's been replaced sometime. So what normski2 says about an inexperienced fitted could be the issue.
