To tell you the truth if i had £750 lying around id take a punt on it, If it failed mot drastically you could break for parts, the dash tray is worth £100 on it's own.

That is cheap.BUT it's only got 1 months mot and doesn't mention tax. Always rings alarm bells when they have short mot and on offer for a low price.

The reason for the bypass is the aftermarket headunit only uses 6 of the 8 standard speakers. The rear 2 are double stacked (woofer and midrange), the woofer is 4 ohm whereas all others a re 2ohm resistance.So the woofer is cut out. On mine i used wiring diagram and added rca plugs to amp inputs, then used pre-outs on aftermarket stereo. Best of both worlds then ...aftermarket headunit using lexus amp and all 8 speakers.

Welcome to the club, Looks very nice does that. Haynes don't do a manual for lexus IS. There's a cd on e-bay though, used to be free online but they took it down. You can still find links for free ones but its impossible to find individual items as it's all un-named pdf files.

I found Tesco value the cheapest, and my premium actually went down this year.

this is what you need Baz. To programme the door (and boot) opening of the remote: Start with the driver's door open. Insert a working Master Key (3 button) in to ignition, turn to on, then off and remove. Lock, then unlock all the doors using the POWER LOCK button on the drivers door FIVE TIMES (lock unlock lock unlock lock unlock lock unlock lock unlock) Close drivers door, then re-open. Lock, then unlock anotheR FIVE TIMES, exactly as before. Insert your new key into the ignition and turn to on, then off agAin and remove. The door locks will then start operating. While they are clicking away,hold down the lock button on the new key and press the unlock button on the key 5 times. Then release and press unlock button once. The doors will lock and unlock once...and ure done!
