Hello and welcome to the club, Sure you will find what your looking for. Seems to be a few for sale on auto trader ect. Every time iv'e bought a car, the model with the bits you really wanted always become available after you have bought one.

Lol ye she got a serious upgrade from a 1.2 clio !!Its win win for me tho, before, i had a 200sx and she had the clio, we kept ending up in the clio as hard work re our 16 month old in the back, much to my dismay, so sx was only doing my drive to work. I sold the sx, got the is300 and thought, nice car, 2jz, can't go wrong! But then, she wanted a 4dr as well, kept banging on about a focus, then i seized the opportunity to get another coupe/turbo, forced the is300 on her (but now she loves it) and went and bought a tt soarer, when i was actually on the way to buy an s14! Always get japs btw, gt4, supra, s13, mr2, etc You have had some nice cars in the past, before i bought my first lexus only ever had fords, apart from a vectra.....Had a couple of rst's and a cosworth...

The 2JZ-GE engines in both the IS300 and the NA Supra, in a nutshell, are pretty much identical for the exception of VVTi on the IS300. I believe the 2JZ-GE Supras did not have the VVTi until a certain model year (95? can't remember off hand). As for the 2JZ-GE vs 2JZ-GTE, there are quite a few differences - the most major and obvious being 2 turbos, lower compression, lighter weight rods. There's more, but those are pretty much the major items. The 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines share the same basic design.

Where did i confirm the 300 is a better car, i said they were comparable, which in my world means they are the same apart from one has a 3 litre engine. To me theres nothing to choose from, thats why i now drive a is200.

Noby, dont think anyone is jealous of your is300, yes they have a bigger engine and more toys. You can't use the extra power legally anyway and apart from having leather seats and an armrest very little else is different. The mpg is about the same, So in the real world it's just about personal preference. and before you ask i've had both the 300 and the 200 i have now.

Think there's a time interval as well, 3 or 5 years can't remember at minute, but your's falls outside both anyway. I would get it done just for peace of mind.
