I've just bought one with no bottom, apparently cost less to make and impossible to fill so saving water as well.

Yes! and? worse than pulling teeth. Bought a gs300, black leather, sat nav, ect.. Will put some pics up when i've had her cleaned...

Welcome to the club Bill, I have just purchased a gs300 myself (although a lot older model). I have owned both an is200 and a 300 and found no difference in mpg. The wife does short journeys and fuel usage is very managable. The more modern engines should be even better. If you decide to buy a lexus you wont regret it.
