  1. Told you once you drive a lexus......Very nice example, one of my favourite colours.
  2. I stand corrected, sorry to Ian for the mis-information. I mistakenly thought that being as cylinder no 1 is always front of engine any directions were taken from front of car.
  3. The rear fog conversion isn't an mot fail as they still function as fogs as well. There are 2 versions..one is fogs act as brake lights only, version 2 is fogs act as brake lights and rear lights and also as fogs. Had the second version on my old is200 and passed mot no problem. You can also add a switch to disable conversion if you wish.
  4. Sorry for late reply Karl, added you to the list . As Chris says we start to meet up around 10am. See you there.
  5. Ask away....sure Pete can help with a contact number ect.
  6. If you get stuck try these guy's they offered me a choice of standard or higher output alternator for my old is200 sure it was 120 amp. http://www.sdlmotorfactors.co.uk/
  7. I think it's just the angle of pic that makes it look bigger, should be same size belt on both models.
  8. Don't just use water as it will freeze in the winter, most likely splitting the pipes and or water bottle. I use this and it's excellent. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-VAN-RAIN-REPELLENT-SUPER-Concentrate-Screen-Wash-Windscreen-65ml-/180865201474?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item2a1c67f542
  9. Morning Ian, any directions ect are usually taken from front of engine, so as you say from front with bonnet open.
  10. These guy's list it as the same for both cars, so i would say yes. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-IS300-ALTERNATOR-A2190-/190782126809?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c6b803ad9
  11. If you're going to do rear drums Pete, grey or black definitely anything else looks chavvy.
  12. Hello and welcome to the club, There's a meet near you in November if you fancy meeting a few members.See link in my sig.
  13. Same here and put together with your other thread about being run on red diesel i'd stay well clear. Very dodgy sounding seller.
  14. It's not that easy, the is300 box has a different ecu and also has extra wiring for steering wheel controls. Probably other things as well. like mounting points ect. The main difference is the extra 50 odd bhp.
  15. Wouldn't think it's easy Vasilis, more than likely different plugs ect, same as trying to swap an is200 stereo for later model.
  16. The fuel filter is inside the fuel tank part of the fuel pump housing although can be changed separately. To reach the spark plugs you need to remove air filter housing. Then remove the coils (6 square black objects with wires running to them) in the centre of head. The you need a long reach socket and rest is straight forward.
  17. No problem, Will amend list Jon, maybe next time?
  18. Welcome to the club Matt.
  19. If you use existing insides it won't need programming just cutting as you say.
  20. Regarding meets we have a few run throughout the year. In fact there's one in november...link in my sig below. Have a look through this thread, i had 3 is200's and an is300 in my time and you won't regret getting one., follow advice in the below thread and you won't go far wrong. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/69388-what-problems-would-you-advise-others-when-buying-a-is200/
