Got a set now guys. Thanks!

Hello, Welcome to the forum.
1) Try replacing the Battery in the remote.
2) Which error message is being displayed? ERROR 1 or ERROR 3? ERROR 1 is a dirty lens, and just needs a lens clean. Most likely its the ERROR 3. Try searching the forum for this issue as its widely covered. Try ejecting all the discs, one by one.

Thanks mate. It's more or less bog standard never think people really want to see that, the car mod fund always seems to go elsewhere. Keep it clean and well serviced, can be a bit OCD with it :-)
Diamond cutting is very pricey, but worth it for the final OEM look. But they take some looking after. Have you considered the hyper silver look or shadow chrome. There are places that can do the inners a darker silver than the rim to give the impression of a machined face.
I think that's the best way to be honest, keep it clean, and well serviced. Subtle mods are nice. All I've done is get the 'Sport' grille fitted. Thinking of a boot lip spoiler and that's about it really.
Haven't thought about those two colours really, but I think I'm sticking to silver, can't beat it really.

Couldn't get this pic in the above post, not easy to do from iPhone. Not great quality either.
Wow, that looks amazing! I think I'm sticking to silver, not getting them diamond cut though, too pricey!

Yeah. I think ppl are tempted with the bargain IS200s that have seen better days but essentially are mechanically sound.
Either that or ppl have stopped spending money on them. For instance theres always one i see at my GP and i actually saw him scrape it. A year later scrape still there. tut
That's true! I think also that because the prices have fallen, the cars have fallen into the wrong hands, and those people skimp on maintenance. Its a shame really.

was just about to ask this question
becuase i was trying to find out how many miles i get with a full tank
i approx get 400 miles on a full tank
400 miles to the tank, what sort of driving are you doing? I get about 325 miles before the light comes on, and thats all around town.

Nice one! They look really good. How did you cut around the inner switches?
-
PeteyV8 I think there are a fair few dotting around. These are mainly one owner cars with low miles, but go for top money.
I paid over the odds for my 04 plate SE, with 55k on the clock. I paid £3300. I wouldn't say my car is imaculate but it's in very good condition for the year.

Very nice car you have there! Can't beat a IS in Black!
-
A quick update! I've just brought some OEM 5 spoke alloys, the best looking wheel on the IS in my opinion. These badly need a refurb.
As for the colour, I think I'm going to stick to a bright silver, as this will stand out on my black IS200.
What do you guys think?
I'll be selling my 11 spoke alloys soon!

Thanks for the replies guys.
I've cleaned them with vinegar, didn't work.
Cleaned them with Autglym Fast Glass, didn't work. Cleaned the entire windscreen, and put in some new screen wash, still didn't work. It's driving me mad.
They clean the windscreen fine, but they squeak and are very noisey, which is making me think I've got a dodgy pair. Worth taking them back? They were spot on for the first few weeks I had them.
-
Looking good! May I ask what colour you asked the refurb company to do?
-
Evening All,
I purchased a set of Bosch Aero Twin wipers last month. When I first put them on my car they were brilliant and super silent. Now they have started to squeak, and it's quite annoying.
I've tried cleaning the blades, cleaned the windscreen, sprayed WD40 on the springs, but they still squeak!
Does anyone have these wipers, or have used them before? Reckon I've got a dodgy pair?

8-10 litres after the light comes on? That's loads! I've never let it drop that far until the light comes on, always fill up soon as it's in the last quarter.
I need to try this!! :)

Car looks amazing! Love the colour of the wheels. Can't wait to get mine done!
-
I had my cambelt and tensioner replaced last month, cost me £280 inc parts and labour. This was done at my local independent garage.
-
-
Glad its growing on you. I feel like the IS was built with me in mind i like it so much!
So was there no evidence of cambelt being done then? I got mine done in the interval and was slightly worn
The wheels you have are my favorite. Makes the car look so much more sophisticated and grown up. If you were goung to change the colour ide go for gun metal apposed to black. The sports grill was a must for mine too but i do like the LE grill too. I got a lip spoiler for mine too, gives it a nice touch
Touch up kit is a must to keep on top of chips you dont want rust popping up
I checked out the history, contacted the garages that did the servicing, and they confirmed the timing belt was not changed, however it does have a full history. Car has covered 56,000 miles now, and is now 10 years old being a 04 plate, so I thought let's just get it sorted.
I agree about the wheels being more elegant, don't see many IS's with the 11 spokers.
The lip spoiler sounds like a good addition, were there two type? One with the third brake light integrated and one without?
Buying a touch up kit tomorrow, and sorting the chips!

Update!
This car is really growing on me. The more I drive it, the more I like it.
After having a read on this forum regarding the timing belt, I booked the car in to my local independent garage who I've been using for years, and got it changed. Such a relief after hearing some of the stories about them snapping. My belt wasn't bad, but just got it changed for a peace of mind, along with the idler and tensioner.
Sport Grille was ordered from Lexus Leicester, who could only source a silver one, but they offered to paint it for an additional charge. £80 all in. Totally transforms the look of the front end. Love it!
All new tyres just fitted, Marshal KH35's. I've had these before and was happy with them. Although I said I don't like the wheels, they are growing on me too! Maybe a colour change, to Black or Gun Metal Grey?? :)
Next up, full service in March, and I really need to buy a touch up paint kit, to treat minor stone chips and a small scratch! Do I have to get one from Lexus, or can I get this from Halfords?

Hi Mate,
Can you post a link to photos of your car? The display picture is too small for me to see.
Thanks
