  1. I'd say no. Its the actual connector foot that for me is the problem. My son had that type for his Audi. In the Audi they worked fine. In my Lexus I could not get 1 to work. The type I have in many places on my car, are all exactly like the connector foot in my picture. I have them in the sidelights, puddle lights, vanity mirrors and dome light at the front.
  2. I've used this type. Had them in there over 4 maybe even 5 years I'd guess. Called something along the lines of T10 Cree led wedge bulb. Don't try this type (as below)...the body melts from the main bulb heat!! Search Ebay and you'll find loads!! Price has plummeted over time.
  3. You could always prise out the hub centres (from the back of course!). Carefully remove the Lexus logo and spray the disc behind in black. Then refit the logo and glue them back in place (they have little location sprues) ... and you have no issues of matching and a nice contrast for the logo to stand out. This is how mine look now Mine you, you'd need to do all 4 .....just a thought. If you get a bit bored one weekend 🙂
  4. If you mean the one within the headlight unit. It's just a caplet type bulb ... think it was w5w type. Its held in a carrier that is attached towards the top at the back of the headlight unit. It's a twist and pull out carrier. Then pull out the bulb and replace.
  5. There is a Bass speaker hung under the rear parcel shelf But it's not an earth shaker. There was never a sub in the boot or owt like that. MM stands for Multi Media ..... by the way.
  6. You have a menu for Bass, Mid and Treble settings within as well. Could just be ... not set up how you would like it. We all have different listening preferences. Surround just gives it all bit more space and width and depth. I have some DVD audio discs and they do sound rather good I must admit.
  7. Possibly but you will need to access the menus. There is a noticeable difference (to my ears anyway) between Stereo and Surround options. Mine is the facelift 2010 version so maybe things are a little different ... but in all honesty I doubt it
  8. I'll assume you have an automatic gearbox ... well, they are the best! 🤨 Watch these vids to learn how to remove the radio/cd unit. If you don't have any get yourself a set of plastic pry tools. You can buy them on Ebay (like this Link ) or probably at your local weekend market. Not expensive and oh so valuable for any trim removal in the future. You really don't want to chew up that dash with screwdriver blades do you? Pay particular attention to how the air con vent at the top is removed. With care it can be an invisible removal. A poor effort (which you can see all too often in for sale ads) will render a nastily brutalised surround. Understand exactly how to go about it from the vids. Cover any surrounds with masking tape to avoid any scratching of surfaces. Have some clean sheets to protect other areas and have an old pillow to hand (or similar) as the unit is quite weighty to lift out. You may need a temporary rest point while you unclip all the wiring. Take photos to refer back to and pay special attention to all the electrical connections. Good luck..... and take your time ... no one is marking you for speed 🙂
  9. You could try here. Scroll to the bottom...the last section shows 09-13 vehicles. Link
  10. Found it! Link I'm guessing you've seen this seller as he says its for 2005-2008 cars. You could message him, give him your reg and he will tell you if it will fit. He's based in the West Midlands. I think you're right to avoid the stainless route ... droning issues have been reported.
  11. There is/was a seller offering Lexus IS250 rear exhausts on Ebay. Someone on here got one and only had to do a minor bit of fettling... probably due to being mishandled by a carrier. I had a link somewhere ... I'll go search for it!
  12. I have an Iphone 6S and it connects perfectly with the car. Wife has the Iphone 6 and hers connects fine too if she uses the car. Full address books are displayed for the connected phone. I just followed the pairing instructions in the car manual. Worked like a charm!
  13. I've not experienced this at all in the time I've had the 250. Think i'd start with connections at the camera end and then the other end. Trouble is the other end requires removal of the head unit which is a bit of a pain to do. Do you know if the head unit has been removed at any point?
  14. You can do no worse than bookmark these two informative posts. Don't get too hung up about brake calipers as that can apply to pretty much any car if they are not serviced. The snag is....Lexus don't service them as part of routine servicing. They would rather just bolt on a brand new one every now and then. If you are just a little bit spannery they are really quite easy to do. Or get a reliable indy to do for you...just make sure they use red rubber grease for the slide pins. There are a few write ups on brake servicing within this forum. Generally speaking the SEL type is the best spec IS250. Happy hunting
  15. Don't suppose it really matters ...... but aren't all the wheels back to front? I thought they were intended to be thinner edge leading into direction of travel. Seems somewhat overpriced.
  16. Sadly this does look to be the case. How very very sad. This photo below I have copied from Tango's own post back in 2014. He was always such a fountain of knowledge on 250's and ISF's. Had not seen anything of him for quite some time so I thought he'd moved onto a different car altogether.
  17. That was exactly my first thought when I saw the photos and the garage setting.
  18. King Crimson - In The Court of The Crimson KIng I was 13 when the album came out. It was the moment I 'discovered' a different type of music. Still play it frequently on vinyl!! Fripp was from my home town - Wimborne, and Greg Lake was from Poole. So they were kinda local heroes to me.
  19. I think Rich is on the right track here .... well, from my own experience anyway! I had this on one occasion at a customers house. During the course of conversation it came to light they had just had a wireless doorbell fitted. I figured...maybe it corrupted my fob whilst I was stood at their door. Tried several attempts at unlocking my car and then I stood by my car and used the emergency key to prise the fob apart. I removed the battery, counted to 10 (no idea why...just seemed a good idea in the moment?!) and put it back in, snapped the fob shut and bingo!!!....all back to normal. Other folk on the 250 forum have experienced issues with PC Routers, Wireless Garador kit, and even a Wireless Booster at a marina!!
  20. My car sits on the drive for 4 days of the working week. Wifey works at a place a mile further down the road from my place of work. So we take her car Mon to Thurs then she has every Fri off, so I take my car on Fridays. Weekends we decide the car by what the journey entails. Her car is a PRHT MX5, which I have to say, is great fun. It's grand going to work with the roof down whenever possible 🙂 even in the winter with the heater at full blast! I will never part with the Lexus. It owes me nothing, is a doddle to work on those bits that I've always done in the past. Ok it costs £325 or so in road tax...a smidge over £6 a week. It's a lovely car to to drive, is great on a long run or holiday to France/Spain (well, hopefully again in the future!) and wifey loves driving it too. I look at it now as cheap motoring as I'm not forking out for anything newer. My eldest son has burned his cash through 4 cars while I've had this Lexus. But to be fair, I don't have 3 motorbikes 🙂, don't think our 4 bicycles counts really!! Keep it ..... you know you want to really!! Just my three penneth
