  1. Take a read here, look for post 8, Michael is your man to message. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/75371-folding-mirrors/
  2. Yes they are ok to jump start. If you are in doubt see p521 of your manual. Perhaps jot down the connection sequence?
  3. No I was just thinking maybe some stop lug may have worn a bit. Maybe not then. What about gentle encouragement at the hinge points while someone presses the button? Running out of ideas after that..may be the motor or a connection somewhere.
  4. Not aware of any power drain issues. When you park up you could deactivate the internal motion sensor..may save a tad. I always carry a set of jump leads in the car. Helped many others..but I never know when it may be my turn. I would like to think all will be ok for you.
  5. Just a thought. The lifting arms haven't spread too far have they?
  6. I'd guess its the latter as you can select the set, drop em in your basket and its £12.20 delivered (hybrid type 30% off at the mo). Bookmarked and saved it myself....useful to know of.
  7. Maybe not here in the UK.....but to be fair about it Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary etc will quite easily temps of 40 degrees. We had 38 in the Auvergne in France in July this year! Igor if you get a problem get back to Lexus. Maybe they will look at it on a case by case judgement.
  8. I could have a crack at it for sure. May be worth making into a sticky as well if Colin approves! :P To be honest...I just copy and pasted the whole thing into Word, resized the pics and saved it as PDF file. If i knew how to get a pdf into the post I'd do it for you but I'm darned if I can see how to add a PDF. Pictures..... yes no prob. Tried my photobucket a/c but they don't upload pdf files Hey ho...bloomin techie stuff!!!
  9. Blimey.....that is one stonking effort.....need to inwardly digest for a while now....thanks v much.
  10. Gutting to hear. Get the 250 auto...that's my honest opinion...they are tremendous. Unless you are flushed enough for the 300h
  11. You shouldn't be thinking about help or advice at this stage. Your first call is back to the Lexus dealership to complain about a car supplied that is not fit for purpose or of merchantable quality. You cannot have coked the engine up in 2 months of ownership. Therefore the problem must have been present when you purchased the car...it just was not at a point where a sensor has triggered.
  12. Make sure its White Vinegar.....not malt vinegar!!!
  13. White vinegar and bicarbonate of soda are good options to try as they are useful for counteracting smells. May be worth asking your local friendly dry cleaners. White spirit isn't water soluble so you really need to go the chemical route. It's worth a shot as they have may have an answer. Keep an eye out for one from scrapyard or eBay too.
  14. Well done you...£10 eh!! Result or what. Sorry no input before...I'm using that petrol stuff. Had a 220d but that was a while back now. I used Archoil AR 6200 additive at 5ml per 50 litre fill up and then the BG244 at 8000 mls or so intervals. For me they seemed to work well. I used to strip out the EGR and clean and check it too, every 8000 mls or so.
  15. I have 18" and 40 profiles. Ride is just right for me. Not too hard and not too soft.
  16. Good work. I doubt there is any plate intended for this but you can undoubtedly fashion something to do the job. Reckon that may inspire a few owners to do likewise.
  17. tis not a problem...you'll get used to it. I'd forgotten all about it until seeing your comment...then noticed it when I got out the car at work!!!
  18. Its said to be the solenoid for the steering lock which is only activated by the opening of the door....so I was told at Poole Lexus
  19. Probably the same as mine by the sound of it No idea what they are called....Lexus did not know either. Pictured with my earlier tyres...has Goodyears now (much much better) Peter....you may not be aware, as you are a new member, but you are not permitted to sell anything on the forum unless you are a GOLD MEMBER...them's the rules.
  20. In all honesty this is going to very subjective. You'll need to go and have a go in each model type and see for yourself. But, you will need to note the tyre size and the diameter, as this will have a bearing on the 'feel', and see what you find best for you I have 18" wheels with 225/40 front and 245/40 on the back. I certainly would not describe as hard or too soft. For me it's just right.
  21. Pretty much parity on prices here in Bournemouth area
  22. My Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance (225 on the front...so narrower) are not run flat. Have found them to be very good in just about every respect. Don't think they make the tyre at 245 for the rears. So i'd guess someone who has them on the rear...has a narrower tyre and possibly different diameter wheel. My wheels are 18".
