  1. I have a link for an eBay site at home. I'm in Portugal until next week. If no-one else comes forward I'll stick it up here. What codes came up? I'll be very surprised if that was anything to do with the bulbs.
  2. Generous offer Geoff Wish I could recall those members who did not have a manual with the car!!!
  3. Yes there is an alarm warning that sounds as soon as you open the door. It may be one of those personalised settings. Beats me why anyone would turn it to 'off'. Think you'll need one of those techstream thingy's to access the menu though. Or try sweet talking the lexus dealership next time you are visiting.
  4. I've changed the Reversing bulbs and the front Side light bulbs. None of them are Canbus type They are the std type 10mm tail. But I did get CREE type as they seem to be brighter with a cover lens over the LED pad Cheers Keith
  5. Wow...thats surprising. Figured anything from 2010 on would have that....especially as its a 450H. Ok then. How about trying to Eject all the CD's from the player. They say to start at CD No1 on some posts I have read. At least that's what I've read on our US cousins site about problems with the CD/DVD player errors.
  6. To the best of my knowledge you don't need anything with"Canbus error free" logos plastered all over the adverts. You'll probably find that the tail on the light does not connect properly anyway. Certainly that was the case on the internal lights for me. I've done all mine (bar the headlights) and had not a single prob. I did my son's Audi first...that most definitely had to have Canbus led lights. That was when I tried them in my car too.
  7. That's what it does on my 250....I figure the450 will have the same/similar options. Think the capacity is around 2000 tunes....that's quite a few cd's
  8. Just a stab in the dark Don't suppose you have the record to hard disc facility set to record all the time? If so then maybe you've filled the hard disc capacity? As I say....just a stab in the dark.
  9. Ah bless him...I always find it best to start reading Iftikhar's posts with a smile as you just know it will test you a little bit. :) If I may....on Iftikhar's behalf.....and most certainly in a friendly manner....no offence intended to Iftikhar at all. Hi all, had my dpf cleaned not long ago due to driving less and less now. This morning dashboard Lit up again check vsc etc. Wife was driving, anyway knew straight away - dpf again. Went to Euro Carparts bought Wynnes dpf cleaner and took it on A13 for 15-20 mins. Could feel a slight difference, went up to 60mph, came home and reset ecu by disconnecting battery. All good, at least for now, so decided to sell it. It's on shpock (Gv06zto) and will be on autotrader soon. Had it for 3 yrs, no other problems apart from dpf and calipers which were replaced with new pads/discs and battery. I will be buying is250 now (auto...hopefully). Hope that helps....I did add the (auto...hopefully) myself.
  10. There is a cross-over point somewhere around 05/06 where the road tax for a manual version changes from £290 to £490. This has come up before and caused a bit of confusion. But iftikhar was looking at 08 reg vehicle so if it was a manual it is going to be £490. But you are quite right it is a something you need to be aware of on a potential purchase.
  11. Think road tax will be 290pa Be fussy, be picky, get the one you want. If it was me....I'd want an SEL and leather.
  12. That's an interesting point. Is your model actually a facelift version or an 08 registered in 09? If you have a USB drive in your armrest and the L shaped reversing light detail then you do indeed have the facelift version. Maybe its something retained on the 220Diesel but not on the 250. Any other facelift cars out there with the heating strip in the windscreen?
  13. I think it was a feature Lexus dropped around the first facelift. I had a heated section for the wiper blades on my 07 220d but it's not there on my 10 250. I don't think it was an option as such.
  14. Its not so much the Lexus have had a problem with the feature Its the problems folk have encountered after an unknown press of the fob button.
  15. If you are looking at the top 5 wires or so, then I think what you are looking at is actually the radio antenna wires. If you look closely at the wires they appear as a different circuit. So I don't think there is owt wrong with your hrw elements. Anyone else confirm if I'm right?
  16. And these http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/94629-windows-down-but-car-locked-this-morning/?hl=%2Bwindows+%2Bdown http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/100350-windows-all-went-down/?hl=%2Bwindows+%2Bdown
  17. I'm not totally sure if I'm right in saying this......but I think you can access the menus for this if you have one of those techstream readers. Hopefully some kind soul will be along to give the lowdown on it. But, a word of caution. Think long and hard before you do this. This option has caused some real grief for people on this forum. I remember someone coming out to their car in the morning to find all the windows down.......and it had benn raining heavily. Not a happy bunny. Someone else had a car full of snow. Personally, I wouldn't do it. For me the negatives are too great.
  18. Nice pics. Looks like a most enjoyable run out. I was at the Eiffel bridge in the Auvergne in July. Judging by your shot I think I may have parked in almost the same place!! Did you nip up the Puy de Dome whilst in Clermont F? Some great views from up there.
  19. I always flash large vehicles when they are clear, having overtaken me, so they know they are clear to pull back in. It's a common courtesy and I'd say its thanked via the indicator flash 9 times out of 10. The same on the continent too. For sure, the roads are much busier than they were and congestion is much increased. Some days I feel the roads are better....some days they seem bonkers with rage.
  20. Had a similar issue with a wireless door bell ( which was defective) messing with my remote. Could not unlock my car. Took the battery out and refitted after counting to 10(dunno why i did that) and it was fine again.
  21. Try taking a read here. May give you some pointers. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/80212-remove-parcel-shelf-to-access-subwoofer/page-1#entry799727
  22. I have only viewed mine through the windscreen. I've not dismantled anything. I'd guess my sensor "patch" (for want of a better word) is the same as yours. Its about 30mm x 20mm or so. However, mine has a silvery line at the top and bottom edge. This looks to me much like the edge of a glue line viewed through glass. So it looks as though the pad is in full contact with the back of the windscreen. Just a thought. Are you aware of any windscreen change? It's possible that the sensor was not installed quite right form a windscreen change. Having said that I don't know if a replacement screen comes with this fully attached.
  23. Never looked at one of these. Logic would suggest the entire pad should be in contact with the screen....assuming that is the sensor pad that detects impacts onto the screen within that area.
