My first thought too .... where are the 18" wheels. I thought all SEL's were shipped with them. Could this be an SEi or SR with a few upgrades?? I saw some SEi's similar to this when I was looking for my car. The nav is a handy option . It may not be a cutting edge nav but its always done the biz for me. The facelift model (which this appears to be) nav allows full postcode entry too. If its a facelift it will be a HDD nav not on a DVD. There should also be a useful addition of a usb in the arm cubby, as well as the usual phono port and power socket. Don't assume it has DAB though. They are std buttons on the facia..it would need the internal unit to actually have DAB radio. It may well have so check it. Don't view it in the rain ... a wet surface can hind many sins.

The cowl is part of the body. That's why you need that special long reach socket. Think they are 22mm from memory. If you do it, give it a squirt (with WD40 or Plus Gas) a day for a few days before you plan to tackle it. They can be very hard to budge. Extension bars or tubes are useful to get some extra leverage.

Ask away Phil...its not boring ... its how we all learn! Hopefully a GS owner will be along shortly to clarify ... but in the meantime ........... So your sensor is Bank 1 Sensor 2 that you need to replace. I would have expected each side to involve pretty much the same procedure. You will need a sensor socket, the long reach type assuming the sensor has the protective cowl around it. Might be worth having a search here and over on the US forum. Here is a guide to replacing Bank 1 Sensor 2 on a is350 from the US forum. Granted its not the same car ( sorry I could not find any GS300 in a quick search) but it may give you some pointers. The pictures are really handy in getting you accustomed to what you are looking for. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/843618-diy-is350-oygen-sensor-replacement-p0138-bank-1-sensor-2-a.html Best of luck with it. Edit : just found this..may help https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-3rd-gen-2006-2011/657199-2006-gs300-o2-sensors.html

Take a look here, this is what Denso lists for your 05 GS300. http://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx#searchResults Open this next page in another window http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lexus,2005,gs300,3.0l+l6,1430992,exhaust+&+emission,oxygen+(o2)+sensor,5132 That, I believe, is the 02 sensors that Rockauto (in the USA) list for your car. Price is a bit different from Eurocarparts .... like way cheaper. I did my Upstream 02 sensors late last year. Got them from Rockauto, arrived in about 10 days and no surcharges. Delivered to the factory via UPS. Eurocarparts were nearly double the cost and they were insistent on trying to sell me the wrong sensors, despite me pointing out their error. I'm not saying you should do this ... but its worth checking out. I fully understand some folk are twitchy about getting bits from the USA but I have to say the service was flawless for me.

They just replace them and charge handsomely for it.

Slide pins seizing on the brake calipers. Lots of accounts here on this forum. If you are into spannering, they are easy to maintain. Nice looking motor .... Welcome aboard.

It's the easiest one to get at....that's a bonus. Try unplugging from the connector. Check the pins are straight and have a visual of the wires. Reconnect and at the least you can cross that off your check list.

My sympathies Shaun. That has to be so bloody annoying. I hope it all works out OK for you in the end result. Keith -
I had to perform a full reset on my phone a couple of weeks back. A right PITA. My wife had just recently changed to a 5S. So I figured I would remove all devices and start over. After pairing my iphone to the car via bluetooth there was a screen on the car which asked "do you want to upload all contacts from the device" (or something very similar). They all uploaded in seconds.

If you have a later 09 model ie a 59 plate, then it's likely you will have the HDD version. If you have, then that is updated via a USB stick. As far as I know that is only available from Lexus at around£150 or so. That's what mine was, but it was UK and Europe maps. When you put a CD in to play do you see an option to 'record' if you do then you have the HDD version. Also, if you have a USB drive in the armrest and the L shape reversing light, that would also indicate you have the facelift version. If you still have the original map data then it would be worth getting the update. It is a bit of a lottery, granted, as I found the odd bit of new motorway missing on French maps. Quite odd seeing the screen showing you speeding through green fields!!

+1 to that -
I now use Dodo Juice Supernatural Leather Cleaner & Sealant. I find it is brilliant on my ivory leather. Apply it with an old nail type brush and scrub with reasonable force and the results are astounding every time! It ain't £3 mind you but it is very very good. I won't get anything else now. Usually around the £20-26 mark but you do see deals from time to time. My last kit was £18.50 from Ebay. I used to use Gliptone .... but now I just wipe some of that on an old magic tree freshener and pop one under each front seat ... makes the car smell great for weeks! There are some good demos up on Youtube for applying Dodo.
