  1. Clean your windows properly on the inside, then apply one of these products. I've got some at home and used it in my old car. seemed to work ok! http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/rain-x.aspx?gclid=CK__rN-j-KYCFUEY4Qodx1n7HA FYI - I bought it in Tesco B)
  2. AMD at Lakeside, Essex installed my coilovers (front and rear) and aligned the wheels for £200+VAT about 2 weeks ago. Before that, I rang around a few places and one quoted me £80 + VAT per corner!! That's £384!!!! I told them to jog on!!!!! B)
  3. Sparky, what parts are required? I've already got the motorized Sat nav unit with the Lexus navigation system, but the latest software revision available for it was released in 2007 on CD! They're not likely to issue another. I just can't justify giving a dealer £100+ to update when it's gonna be out of date!! Cheers Rob B)
  4. Try Sky insurance. I recently changed over to them as I put TEIN coilovers on my IS200. Directline refused to cover me as I haven't held my licence for 5+ years. It doesn't matter to them that I'm 28 and have 2 kids!!! B)
  5. Thanks for the response Nick! I've heard a few times about blueflame but not sure I can justify the cost with the missus. Rather than a cat-back, would there be a benefit with just the backbox for the time being? How much was your HKS? Rob B)
  6. Has anyone considered having an exhaust custom made? If so, what's your opinion? I've been quoted £360 for catback stainless steel with a midsport tone. Price includes fitting and VAT Reasonable price?
  7. Are the rear lights fairly easy to change? I assume I need to access them through the boot? B)
  8. I have a 99 V reg. My dials are the same as the 'V6 Sport ' in the auction
  9. Any idea where the suitable pipework can be purchased? Also, how do I know if it's suitable? Sorry if I sound a bit dim, but I have no experience in this field at all! I really appreciate your help B)
  10. To be honest I didn't know the true definition of 'V6' Obviously we all know the IS200 uses a 6 cylinder engine, and thanks to Wikipedia, I understand how the 'V6' and 'Straight 6' differ (only in design not technically!!) Maybe he's just being an ignorant chump. Defo not a sport though. Unless the owner has modded it to resemble an 'S' ?!?!?!?!
  11. Cheers Mikey One question, how the hell do you make your own induction kit? I'm not technically minded so there's a good chance I'd ***** it up!!! Any tips or tricks where to buy the parts from? B)
  12. I drive a manual IS200. Please note pros and cons for: Cone Filter Panel Filter Induction kit (obvious con, they're more pricey!!!) Your assistance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Rob
  13. Some theiving little git has nicked one of my locking wheel nut covers and tbh it's a bit of an eye sore. How much will Lexus charge me for a new one? If anyone's got any spares knocking around I'd be much obliged. Cheers Rob B)
  14. Evening! I'm thinking about getting the exhaust sorted. Any idea if blueflame are any good? Also, any other suggestions for decent exhaust manufacturers? Got my Tein coilovers in today. Much better than the standard suspension!! B)
  15. i dunno really! I quite like the 'smoked' effect tail lights I'll have a butchers and see what I find cheers buddy B)
  16. where can I purchase new lights? The original ones are looking a little dated and I'd like to upgrade them to something stylish but legal. any suggestions for stockists? Cheers Rob B)
  17. TBH I couldn't care less about fog lights!!! Stop ranting and worry about something worthwhile B)
  18. If its like mine, open the boot, and look for a metal box to the rhs of the spare wheel, thats the dvd/cd sat nav unit. Unbolt the guard and there's an eject button on the front (facing the spare), out it pops and pop in the new one. Lucky you by the way my nav won't work as that unit is u/s, £150 to mend apparently so its mr tomtom or his mates for me, still I can amuse myself by watching the screen go up and down anyway!Must put a request on the wants board! You could get a DVD GPS double DIN headunit for about £200. I'm looking at getting one myself but I've never heard of the 2 companies that make them cheap! If interested try eonon.com or xtrons.com B)
  19. What date was the disc issued? I spoke to Lexus yesterday and the last revision for this model was in 2007. They're unlikely to update it again!!!
  20. Morning people! Last night, I realised the Sat Nav in my IS200 works using a CD-Rom. (I thought the software was loaded in to the Nav unit!!!) However, the version I have dates back to 1999. I'm not sure if I wanna spend £100 to update it (www.lexusmapupdates.eu). Can anyone offer any advice on a more cost effective solution? My current version is 08664-50821 cd rom NOT DVD!! Any help will be greatly apreciated! Thanks Rob B)
  21. Hi Should I upgrade my suspension to Tein Driving Master Basic Suspension Kit? my front shocks are on their way out and would cost £350 for Lexus to supply and fit standard shocks only. I'll obviously spend more getting a full suspension but could be worth it in the long run. Has anyone had any experience with TEIN products? If so, are they any good? Cheers guys Rob B)
  22. My front shock absorbers are leaking and need to be sorted. Lexus in Southend have offered to supply and fit for £350. I don't wanna spend loads of cash sorting it but I though I may be better off replacing the entire suspension front and back. Can anyone help? Cheers
  23. To be honest, it probably just needs a bit of tlc. I'm just looking for a quick easy solution really. Cheers buddy Rob B)
  24. Hello people. I purchased a TTE front bumper this weekend (cheers Jimxms) the mesh provided is a little knackered. I already have the sport astral black grille but think I could do with new mesh along the lower part of the bumper. I've never done this before, therefore I have no idea what the hell I'm supposed to do about it!!! can I buy new mesh to fit straight in the bumper (without cutting or bending etc) or do have I got to halfords, buy a sheet and (attempt) to sort it myself? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated Cheers Rob B)
  25. FRONT BUMPER REQ'D ASAP
